Result of Ballot Under National Military Service Act 1961
In pursuance of section 10 (2) of the National Military
Service Act 1961, I, Thomas Philip Shand, Minister of
Labour, hereby give notice that in a ballot pursuant to the
above Act covering persons born in the four-monthly period
which commenced on 1 March 1945 and ended on 30 June
1945, the following dates of birth were drawn:
March: 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 28, 29.
April: 5, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18 22, 23, 26.
May: 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 15, 17, 18, 19, 22, 25, 26, 27.
June: 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 19, 21, 25, 28.
The persons whose birth dates as recorded in their appli-
cations for registration correspond with the dates drawn in the
ballot are the persons liable to perform service and will later
receive notices requiring them to report for medical
examination.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the
Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be
Utilised
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for
recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule
hereto and further declares that the land may be disposed of
by the Manawatu County Council at current market value, the
proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s
reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or
towards the improvement of other recreation reserves under the
control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other
land for recreational purposes.
