ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1965.

  2. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines and to construct electric works which may from time to time be required for the distribution and supply of electricity within the area described in the Schedule hereto.

  3. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  4. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  5. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (h), and (j) of Regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The system of supply authorised under paragraph (j) aforesaid shall be a single-conductor earth-return system of 11,000 volts between conductor and earth. The use of the earth-return system of supply shall be subject to such terms and conditions as are from time to time laid down by the General Manager of the New Zealand Electricity Department.

  6. This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1986.

  7. The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place and community centre for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Umutahi tribe.

Adding Land to Abel Tasman National Park

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of Abel Tasman National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Abel Tasman National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

Authorising the Timaru Harbour Board to Reclaim Land in Timaru Harbour

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 185 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Timaru Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea in Timaru Harbour 9 acres 2 roods 13 perches, more or less, edged red on plan marked M.D. 12058 deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, provided that the construction of the reclamation is carried out in accordance with plan marked M.D. 12058 deposited in the said office of the Marine Department and in the manner prescribed by the said Act; the works authorised by this order to be completed within a period of three years from the date of this order.
