RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Supplementary Loan 1965, £11,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers in that behalf thereunto
enabling it, the Carterton Borough Council doth hereby
resolve as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the loan of £11,000 authorised to be raised by the Carterton
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
upgrading and reticulation of the Carterton water supply, the
said Carterton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate
of decimal nought nought one four nought eight of a pound
(.001408 of £1) upon the rateable value on all rateable
property of the Borough of Carterton; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of
November and the 15th day of May in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-
five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the purport of the above resolution
was passed at a special meeting of the Carterton Borough
Council held on 16 March 1965.

HIKURANGI TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hikurangi Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Hikurangi Town
Council under the above-mentioned Act for constructing
sewerage works, the said Hikurangi Town Council hereby
makes a special rate of 12·379d. in the pound upon the
rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the
Hikurangi Town District; and that the special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of September and the
31st day of March in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off."

WAITAKI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waitaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000)
authorised to be raised by the Waitaki County Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances
to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said
Waitaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 0·023d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value on
the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property
in the county; and such special rate shall be an annually recur-
ring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on
the 1st day of September during the currency of such loan,
being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

TAKE notice that the Patangata County Council, pursuant to
the Public Works Act 1928, hereby gives notice of its pro-
posa to take land for road and close the portions of the
existing road being part of the Mangamaire Road, Porangahau,
referred to in the Schedule hereto. The plan of land to be
taken for road and of the portions of road to be closed by
the Council may be inspected at the offices of the Patangata
County Council in Northumberland Street, Waipukurau. All
persons wishing to object to the proposal must set forth
in writing any objections they may wish to make to the
taking of the land or the closing of the road, not being an
objection to the amount of compensation, and send such
written objection to the Patangata County Council, Northum-
berland Street, Waipukurau, on or before the 17th day of
August 1965.
