Change to the Borough of Mount Eden District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned change to the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Mount Eden was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on 29 June 1965. The Council also resolved that the under-mentioned change to the district scheme shall come into operation on 12 July 1965. A copy of the change as approved has been deposited in the Council’s office, 64 Valley Road, Mount Eden, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when the office is open to the public.

SCHEDULE OF CHANGE

THAT piece of land abutting the existing Commercial C zone and bounded by Prospect Terrace to the north, Grange Road to the south, and a line, parallel to and approximately 315 ft from Dominion Road, to the east rezoned from Residential B to Commercial C.

Dannevirke Borough District Planning Scheme No. VII Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that an amendment to the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 28th day of June 1965. There were no requirements as to public works by the Minister of Works or by local authorities, and no objections to the amending scheme.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 9th day of July 1965.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and the Public Library, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

Departure From Operative District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and its amendments and of the regulations made thereunder, that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, by order dated the 26th day of April 1965, gave consent to a specified departure from the operative district scheme of the City of Wanganui, to the extent indicated hereunder.

By permitting the Wanganui Engineering Works Ltd. to use those parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of steel fabricating and assembly and bulk steel storage and to allow a building coverage of 100 per cent on the said land, notwithstanding that the land is at present zoned Commercial “C” and shall remain so zoned, subject to the following conditions:

  1. Machines such as lathes, rivet guns, moulds, and the like will not be used on the said land.

  2. Twenty-five per cent of the area of the space within the building shall at all times be kept free from permanent fixtures, partitions, or machines or any works which would prevent such space being used for the parking of motor vehicles should any resolution of Council require that space to be so used; and such space shall be of a shape suitable for motor-vehicle parking and have suitable access to and from the street, and name to be marked on the site plan furnished in conjunction with an application for a building permit.

WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the provision of section 38A of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, John Douglas Kerr hereby gives notice that he has made application to the Westland County Council for its consent to a specified departure from the control of use of land permitting the erection of a service motel building at Fox Glacier on the land described as Sections 4 and 5, Block XIII, Waiho S.D., and the grant of a building permit for such building.

Any person or body objecting to or supporting the proposals set out on the application or desiring variation of them is required to submit arguments in writing to the County Clerk, Westland County Council, by not later than noon on 26 July 1965. Any person or body objecting to or supporting the application is entitled to be heard by the Council or by a committee thereof constituted for the purpose.

A copy of the application which sets out the applicant’s proposals may be inspected during office hours at the Chambers of the Westland County Council.

Consolidation of Special Rates

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a special meeting of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 15th day of June 1965, the following resolution was passed and it will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on the 20th day of July 1965, at 7.30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Thomas Street, Henderson.

Resolution:

“In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Henderson Borough Council doth hereby resolve, by way of special order, that instead of levying the special rates set out in the Schedule hereto, to make and levy a rate on a uniform basis for the whole district as a consolidated special rate calculated to yield 10 per cent more than the annual charges payable in respect of the loans secured by the special rates and that the consolidated rate shall be an annually recurring rate of 3·264d. in the pound on all rateable property within the district.
