HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Otorohanga County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those portions of road situated in Block V, Wharepapa Survey District, Otorohanga County described as follows:
A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 3 8 Part Section 4 and part Section 22.

0 0 35·5 Part Section 5.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 19469 (S.O. 42622), deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Rongomai hapu.

The Tiriraukawa Cemetery Closing Order 1965

At the Government House at Wellington this 23rd day of June 1965
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Tiriraukawa Cemetery Closing Order 1965.
  2. It is hereby directed that the Tiriraukawa Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, shall be closed and burials therein discontinued after the 31st day of January 1966.
  3. As from the 31st day of January 1966 the control and management of the closed Tiriraukawa Cemetery shall vest in the Rangitikei County Council.

SCHEDULE
TIRIRAUKAWA CEMETERY
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 1 acre 1 rood 33·5 perches, more or less, being Section 35, Block IV, Tiriraukawa Survey District, as shown on plan marked 191/2/228, held in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington, and thereon edged red, which plan is a copy of Survey Office Plan marked S.O. 26015.

Appointments, Promotions, and Termination of Appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to the Navy Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, and termination of appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy.

Lieutenant P. D. Mulgrew, B.E.M., released (medically unfit), to date 3 May 1965. Placed on the Retired List, to date 4 May 1965.

Acting Lieutenant J. A. Barnes, confirmed in rank of Lieutenant with original seniority of 1 September 1963.

Sub-Lieutenant G. G. Elder, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and reappointed, to date 30 April 1965.

First Officer O. M. Warring, WRNZNS, engagement extended to 18 May 1967.

Probationary Acting Third Officers N. G. McNabb and S. C. Willard, WRNZNS, promoted to the rank of Acting Third Officer and reappointed, to date 15 April 1965.
