AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£250,000) to be known as the Purchase of Properties Loan 1964, £250,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing properties and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths of one penny (³⁄₁₀ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 31st day of May 1965.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1965, £30,000

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Hobson County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Hobson County Council hereby makes a special rate of three-tenths of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable land in the County of Hobson; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

I certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Hobson County Council held on 9 June 1965.

PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paeroa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £11,000 entitled the Fire Station Loan 1965 authorised to be raised by the Paeroa Borough Council for erecting and furnishing a fire station, the said Paeroa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three-tenths of a penny upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council held on the 10th day of June 1965.

OPOTIKI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Opotiki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of six thousand pounds authorised to be raised by the Opotiki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of and capital improvements to two workers’ dwellings, the said Opotiki County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·1345 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Opotiki County, comprising the whole of the County of Opotiki; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of May and the 30th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1965, £15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the making of advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Taranaki County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six one two pence (·0612d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Taranaki; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CENTRAL CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £200,000 to be known as No. 17 Reticulation Loan 1965 authorised to be raised by the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electricity in the Central Canterbury Electric Power District, the said Central Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one-twelfth (¹⁄₁₂) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Canterbury Electric Power District, comprising the whole of the Counties of Ellesmere, Paparua, Akaroa, Wairewa, Mount Herbert, Malvern, Tawera, and parts of the Counties of Heathcote and Halswell, and part of Lyttelton Borough; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board at the meeting held on Tuesday, 8 June 1965.
