Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of County of Waitotara and City of Wanganui

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto be excluded from the County of Waitotara and included in the City of Wanganui. All persons affected who object to the proposed alteration of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, within one month from the date of publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of the Waitotara County containing an area of 4 acres 1 rood 9·2 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 35, Block III, D.P. 4484, being a point on the boundary of the City of Wanganui as described in Gazette, 1959, at page 465, and proceeding south-westerly along that boundary to the middle of Lincoln Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of Lincoln Road to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 22771; thence north-easterly along that boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 25919, to the northernmost corner of Lot 40, Block II, D.P. 4484; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that lot, and its production along the north-eastern side of Surrey Road to the westernmost corner of Lot 35, aforesaid, being the point of commencement.
