Adding Land to the Fiordland National Park

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of the Fiordland National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Fiordland National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

Alteration and Redefinition of Boundaries of Te Puke Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 8171)

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Te Puke Rabbit District Order 1965.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Te Puke Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 14th day of September 1955,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE TE PUKE RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Counties of Tauranga and Matamata and Boroughs of Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, and Te Puke, containing 179,500 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Tokatapu on the eastern shores of the entrance to the Tauranga Harbour in Block VI, Tauranga Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly generally along the shores of the Bay of Plenty to the middle of the mouth of the Kaituna River diversion opposite the northern boundary of Section 1, Block VI, Te Tumu Survey District; thence up that river diversion and westerly and southerly generally up the middle of the Kaituna River, to and up the middle of the Mangorewa River and the middle of the Ohaupara Stream, to and north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Taumata 2 Block, to and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Taumata 2 Block and Paengaroa 1 Block, to and northerly generally down the middle of the Mangapapa Stream and the middle of the Wairoa River, to and easterly, south-easterly, and north-westerly generally along the shores of the Tauranga Harbour to the point of commencement.

Amending Order Restricting Grant of and Dealing With Mining Privileges Over Certain Lands in the Nelson Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 34 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. The Schedule to the Order in Council restricting the grant of and dealing with mining privileges over certain lands in the Nelson Land District made on the 22nd day of December 1964, and published in the Gazette, of 21 January 1965, at page 46 is hereby amended by omitting the words “and VI”, and substituting the words “and V”.

  2. Nothing in the Order in Council referred to in clause 1 of this order shall affect or at any time be deemed to have affected any land contained in Block VI, Flora Survey District.
