NOTICE is hereby given that National McCollum Continental International Inc., duly incorporated in the United States of America and having its head office for New Zealand, at 104 Featherston Street, Wellington, intends to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand at the expiration of three (3) months from the date of publication of this notice.

TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Improvements Redemption Loan No. 2, 1965, £24,000
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Takapuna City Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Streets Improvements Redemption Loan No. 2, 1965, £24,000 authorised to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way of special loan under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Streets Improvements Loan 1952, £200,000 which mature on 1 July and 1 October 1965, the Takapuna City Council makes a special rate of decimal nought six eight pence (0·068d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the City of Takapuna; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be repayable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Takapuna City Council held on the 20th day of April 1965.

HAWKE’S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Reticulation Loan 1955, £100,000 which matures on the 1st day of June 1965, the said Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one sixty-fifth of a penny (¹⁄₆₅d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the constituent districts of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the Boroughs of Havelock North and Taradale, the City of Hastings, and within that portion of the City of Napier as at present constituted which on the 6th day of July 1925, was included in the County of Hawke’s Bay; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIPARA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waipara Township Water Supply Loan 1965, of £7,000
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Waipara County Council held at the Council Chambers, Waikari, on Friday, the 9th day of April 1965, the following resolution was passed:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,000 authorised to be raised by the Waipara County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1965 for the purposes of defraying the cost of constructing works to provide a piped water supply in Waipara and incidental expenses in connection therewith, the said Waipara County Council hereby makes a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Waipara Water Supply Special Rating Area as defined in the Schedule hereto; and resolves that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Waipara County, in the Waikari and Teviotdale Survey Districts, bounded by a line commencing on the north bank of the Waipara River and proceeding northward along the western boundary of the South Island Main Trunk Railway Reserve to and thence along the southern boundary of Lots 82 to 76, on D.P. 661, to and thence along the western boundary of Lots 76 and 75 and 4, 3, and 1 and crossing Withers Street in D.P. 661, to and thence in a north-easterly direction along the western boundary of Lake Road (State Highway No. 1) to and along the south, west, and northern boundaries of the property described as part Lot 1, D.P. 1704, to and thence north-west along the western boundary of Lake Road to and along the southern boundary of Lot 24; thence north-easterly along the western boundaries of Lots 24 to 1, in D.P. 1829, to and across the Waiau Branch Railway Reserve to and thence along the southern boundary of MacKenzie’s Road to a point opposite the western boundary of the N.Z. Electricity Department’s property; thence across the road to and thence along the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of the said Crown land to and thence south-eastward along the northern boundary of MacKenzie’s Road to and easterly along the northern boundary of part Lot 17, Glenmark Settlement, as defined on Survey Office plans numbers 6918 and 7206 to and across the Lake Road and the South Island Main Trunk Railway Reserve to and thence along the western boundary of Glenmark Street in a northerly direction; thence eastward across the northern end of Glenmark Street and the northern boundary of Reserve 3982 and southerly along the eastern boundary of Reserve 3982 to its junction with Johnston Street; thence east to the eastern end of Johnston Street; thence southerly to and along the eastern boundary of the lands described in D.P. 4250 to and across the eastern end of Anzac Street; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Anzac Street to the South Island Main Trunk Railway Reserve; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of the Railway Reserve to and thence easterly along the southern boundary of Weka Creek Road to the north-eastern corner of Lot 45; and thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Lots 45, 46, and 97 crossing Withers Street in D.P. 661 to, and continuing on the same line southerly through, Reserve 4475, to the North Bank of the Waipara River; thence westerly along the bank to the commencing point.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Richmond Development Loan No. 3, 1965, £11,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,000 (eleven thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the cost of developing Richmond Block and the reconstruction of Riverbend Road, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two four (0·024) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
