PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the
date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the pro-
visions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Plan No. 197/3 deposited in the Head Office of the New
Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered
red, (S.O. Plans 1861 and 13664).

Reorganisation of Local Government, Hutt Valley, Eastbourne,
Eastern Bays

———

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Local Government Commission
Act 1961, it is hereby notified that the Local Government
Appeal Authority has fixed 10.30 a.m. on Monday 31 May
1965, as the time, and the Lower Hutt City Council Chambers,
as the place for the hearing of the appeals by the Lower Hutt
City Council, Petone Borough Council, Upper Hutt Borough
Council, Hutt County Council, Petone Fire Board, Upper Hutt
Fire Board, Hutt Valley and Bays Fire Board, Eastbourne
Urban Fire Authority, Hutt River Board, Hutt Valley Under-
ground Water Authority, and the Hutt Valley Drainage Board
against the final scheme of the Local Government Commission
dated 26 November 1964 providing for the reorganisation of
local government in the Hutt Valley, Eastbourne, and Eastern
Bays areas.

New Zealand Dairy Production and Marketing Board Election—
Notice of Election of Members for South Auckland, Southern,
and Taranaki Wards

———

I, Jack Grant A’Court, returning officer appointed under
section 10 of the Dairy Production and Marketing Board Act
1961, do hereby give notice of a poll to elect a member for the
South Auckland Ward, and a member for the Southern Ward,
and a member for the Taranaki Ward on the New Zealand
Dairy Production and Marketing Board, and do hereby give
further notice that Wednesday, 21 April 1965, is the date on
which the rolls of electors for these wards shall be closed;
that the nominations of candidates for the election of one
member for each of the said wards must be in my hands by
noon on Wednesday, 19 May 1965; and that in the event of
more than one candidate being nominated in either of the said
wards a poll will be held and that such poll will close at 7 p.m.,
on Wednesday, 23 June 1965.
