RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Abattoir Loan 1965, £180,000

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 14th day of April 1965:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and eighty thousand pounds (£180,000) to be known as the Wellington City Abattoir Loan 1965 of £180,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the new Municipal Abattoir, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of eighty-three one-thousandths of a penny (0·083d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Electricity Loan 1965, £1,110,000

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 14th day of April 1965:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one million one hundred and ten thousand pounds (£1,110,000) to be known as the Wellington City Electricity Loan 1965 of £1,110,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and improving the city's electricity distribution system, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of five hundred and twenty- three one-thousandths of a penny (0·523d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Balmoral Water Race Loan 1965, No. 3, £10,000

THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Amuri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of refunding to the County Fund Account an amount expended on the construction of the Balmoral Water Race £7,000 (seven thousand pounds), for headworks protection, and necessary follow-up works £3,000 (three thousand pounds), the said Amuri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·56 (decimal five six), 0·28 (decimal two eight), 0·09 (decimal nought nine) pence in the pound on the capital value of all rateable lands in Class A, B, and C lands respectively in the Balmoral Water Supply District; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Amuri County Council held on the 5th day of March 1965.

SOUTHLAND HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 1, 1965, £349,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Southland Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £349,500 authorised to be raised by the Southland Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of Loan No. 14, 1952, £3,889,600 which mature on 16 March, 13 April, 25 May; 13 July, 17 August, 24 August, and 23 September 1965, by conversion and by cash application, the said Southland Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·0349 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Southland Harbour District as constituted by the Bluff Harbour Empowering Act 1949, being part of the rate authorised by section 8 of the Bluff Harbour Improvement Act 1952; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of May and the 30th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Southland Harbour Board held on the 30th day of March 1965.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a road being portion of Geraghty Road, Harrisville, within the County of Franklin, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk to the said council, situated in Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by and who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands, must state their objections in writing and send the same with 40 days from the 14th day of April 1965, being the day of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, at the County Office, Roulston Street, Pukekohe.

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Tauranga City Council proposes to take for waterworks (namely, for water supply catchment and conservation purposes), under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts the land described in the Schedule hereto. A plan of the land required to be taken is deposited and is open for inspection at the public office of the Tauranga County Council, Barkes Corner, Tauranga, and at the public office of the Tauranga City Council, Willow Street, Tauranga.
