RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Improvement Redemption Loan 1964, £34,900 THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otorohanga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £34,900 authorised to be raised by the Otorohanga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for repaying on maturity that portion of the Water Supply Improvement Loan 1954, £60,380 which matures on 1 February 1965, the said Otorohanga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the £ upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Otorohanga; and that the special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Otorohanga Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 16th day of December 1964.

Refuse Disposal Plant Loan 1964, £16,000

"THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of sixteen thousand pounds (£16,000) authorised to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing and installing a municipal refuse incinerator at the Brady Road Tip, the said Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one one five seven pence (0·1157d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Otahuhu; and that the said rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be repayable in each and every year on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off. That the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby appropriates and pledges the foregoing rate as security for the said loan."
