BOUNDARIES OF THE MATAMATA RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Matamata County and Matamata Borough, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 5156, being part of Whakamarama No. 2 Block; thence southerly generally along the south-western boundaries of the said Lot 1, and Lots 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15, D.P. 5099, being parts of the said Whakamarama No. 2 Block, and Lot 22, D.P. 5099, being part of the said Whakamarama No. 2 Block, and being part of Oteora No. 1 Block, to Trig. Station No. 909, Waianuanu, being the easternmost corner of Block XVI, Wairere Survey District; thence along a right line from the said Trig. Station No. 909 to Trig. Station No. 146, Te Weraiti, being the westernmost corner of Block IV, Opoutihi Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Block I, Tapapa East Survey District, to the middle of the public road forming the generally south-eastern boundary of Section 60, Selwyn Settlement; thence south-westerly generally along the middle of that public road, State Highway No. 29, Raparapa Road, and Te Poi Road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 36610, in Block XI, Tapapa Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to and along that last-mentioned boundary and along the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 2819, the eastern and northern boundaries of part Rangitanuku 1A Block, crossing the intervening Rangitanuku Road and that boundary produced to the middle of the Waihou River; thence down the middle of that river, to and south-westerly up the middle of the Oraka Stream to and along the middle of Langlands Road, to and north-westerly generally along the middle of State Highway No. 27 and the middle of Totmans Road crossing the Morrinsville-Rotorua Railway, to and south-westerly along the middle of State Highway No. 29 and the middle of State Highway No. 1 to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 76, Block XVI, Cambridge Survey District, Roadmans Cottage, Gazette, 1945, page 1552; thence along a right line to and along the said boundary and its production to and down the middle of the Piarere Stream to and westerly down the middle of the Waikato River (Karapiro Lake), to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 36274, in Block XV, Cambridge Survey District; thence generally northerly along a right line crossing the said State Highway No. 1 to and along that western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 2 and part Lot 1, D.P. 28925, to and along the western boundary of part IV, D.P. 3300, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Taotaoroa Road; thence along the middle of that road, the middle of Todds Road, and the middle of Buckland Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 9, Block XI, Cambridge Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 9 aforesaid, the north-eastern end of Dunnings Road, the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, of Allotment 2, of Section 2, and Section 8, Block XI, Cambridge Survey District, to and north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of parts Hinuera No. 2 Block along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Lot 9A, D.P. 2757, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Lot 42, D.P. 2756; thence along a right line to and along that last-mentioned boundary, along the generally southern and eastern boundaries of Section 4 to and westerly along the perpendicular of 5,250 chains south in the Mount Eden Meridional Circuit, to its intersection with the Matamata County boundary; thence northerly along that boundary being the production north-easterly of the south-eastern boundary of Section 5, Block III, Cambridge Survey District, across a public road, and through Lot 13, D.P. 17891 to the middle of the Piakonui Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 14276, being part of Te Pae O Turawaru No. 2 Block; thence along a right line through Lot 10, D.P. 17890, being parts of Te Pae O Turawaru and Te Tapui Blocks, to and along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 4, a right line across Tapui Road, to and along the south-western boundaries of part Lot 2, D.P. 5116, and part Lots 3 and 2, D.P. 25216, crossing an intervening public road, being parts of Te Pae O Turawaru Block aforesaid, and a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Mangapapa River; thence down the middle of that river and up the middle of the Waitoa River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Matamata North No. 2b Block; thence along a right line, to and along the said south-eastern boundary, and a right line across the Morrinsville-Rotorua Railway, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 63, of Block XIII, Wairere Survey District, and parts Matamata North G 2 and 1 A Blocks; thence by a right line across Matamata North C Block to the westernmost corner of Lot 1A, D.P. 8106; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of that Lot 1A, being part of Taramoarahi No. 1 Block, and a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced through Lot 2, D.P. 16072, being parts of Wairenga and Taramoarahi No. 1 Blocks, and across a public road, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 12 and 5, D.P. 8974, being parts of the said Taramoarahi No. 1 Block, and a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced through Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 18677, being part of Taramoarahi No. 1
and Whangorau B Blocks, to the south-western corner of Lot 3, D.P. 20021, being part of Taramoarahi No. 1 Block; thence along the southern boundary of the said Lot 3, and a right line, being that boundary produced through Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 20021, being parts of the said Taramoarahi No. 1 Block to the western boundary of part of Lot 8, D.P. 2843, being parts of Aratiatia and Turanga O Moana Blocks; thence along the western and south-eastern boundaries of the said part Lot 8, and the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 4 and 3, D.P. 35369, Lots 1 and 2, D.P. S. 8755, Lot 1, D.P. S. 5482, Lots 1, 2, and 3, D.P. 33331, Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 28364, Lots 1 and 3, D.P. 34541, the aforesaid lots being part of Aratiatia and Turanga O Moana Blocks, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced, across Tower Road and through another part of the said Turanga O Moana Block, as shown on D.P. 1856, to the middle of the Waihou River; thence up the middle of that river to and up the middle of the Wairere Stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 11, of Block XI, Wairere Survey District; thence along a right line, to and along the said eastern boundary, to and along the southern and south-eastern boundaries of Maurihoro A Block, Scenic Reserve, New Zealand Gazette, 1936, page 2188, to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Navy Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, and termination of appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy.
Lieutenant Commander O. L. D. Claridge, B.SC., LL.B., to be released on 5 April (at own request) and placed on the Retired List, to date 6 April 1965.
Lieutenant P. K. Laker, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, to date 28 February 1965.
Anthony Michael Bowker Gebbie, M.B., CH.B., entered as Surgeon Lieutenant, to date 15 February 1965 with seniority of 13 December 1963.
Acting Instructor Lieutenants C. T. Grimsdale and D. J. Stewart, confirmed in rank of Instructor Lieutenant, to date 20 January 1965 with seniority of 20 January 1964.
