THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 8 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
directs that the proposed access way described in the Schedule
hereto shall be of a width of more than 12 ft but no more
than 24 ft.

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of land situated in the Borough of Wairoa,
Hawke's Bay R.D., described as follows:

plan.

Clyde; coloured orange on plan.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 19119 (S.O. 5353) deposited in the office of
the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
as above mentioned.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets
apart the Maori freehold lands described as Moerangi 1E 4A
and 1E 4B Blocks, as Maori reservations for the purposes as
set out for the common use or benefit of the members of the
Ngati Mahanga tribe.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart
the Maori freehold land described as Opape No. 5, Papa-
kainga Block, as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a
marae and meeting place for the common use and benefit
of the members of the Ngati Patu sub-tribe of the Whaka-
tohea tribe.

His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes
the Order in Council referred to in Part I of the Schedule
hereto in so far as it affects the land described in Part II
of the said Schedule.

His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.
ORDER
As from the 31st day of March 1965 the area in the North
Auckland Land District known as Waiheke Island shall be
constituted the Waiheke Secondary Urban Fire District.

Appointment of High Commissioner for New Zealand in Canada
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been
pleased to appoint
The Honourable Sir Léon Götz, K.C.V.O.
to be High Commissioner for New Zealand in Canada under
and for the purposes of the External Affairs Act 1943, to
hold the said office as from the 31st day of March 1965, to
the 30th day of March 1967.

Chairman of Motor Spirits Licensing Authority Appointed
PURSUANT to the Motor Spirits Distribution Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
James Walker Bain
to be Chairman of the Motor Spirits Licensing Authority,
such appointment to take effect from the 16th day of March
1965, vice Robert Whaley Edgley, resigned.
