Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block X, Pirongia Survey District for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Te Awamutu and is there open for inspection; and that every person affected by the taking of the said land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block II, Waihou Survey District, for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for soil conservation and river control purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Ngatea and is there open for inspection; and that every person affected by the taking of the said land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and send the written objection, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Post Office Purposes (Residence) in Block I, Hokonui Survey District

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for post office purposes (residence); and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Lumsden and is there open for inspection; and that every person affected by the taking of the said land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and send the writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing approximately 1 rood, situated in Block I, Hokonui Survey District, being Lot 10, Block VII, D.P. 98A, being part Section 320; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 19207 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Being a section on the corner of Meadow and Cover Streets, Lumsden.)

Declaring Area to be an Access Lane for the Purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that for a period of two years from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the First Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be an access lane and that within such access lane regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply.

FIRST SCHEDULE
  1. The access lane shall be marked as follows:

(a) Marker buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted orange with a vertical black stripe, each 50 yards apart, commencing 50 yards from the edge of the lake at normal lake level, shall be suitably moored along each side of the access lane.

(b) At the edge of the lake at normal lake level at each side of the access lane in line with the marker buoys there shall be placed, on a black and orange painted post, a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted orange with black letters, and shall contain the following notice:

“NOTICE

Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Access lane through which motor launches towing water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.

BATHERS KEEP OUT”

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water in Lake Waihola bounded on the sides by parallel lines 30 yards apart extending in a northerly direction 200 yards from the edge of the water, the westernmost boundary commencing 7 yards eastwards of the northernmost extremity of Bakers Point.

The Standards Act 1941—Standard Specifications Revoked

Pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1941 and regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 9 March 1965, revoked the standard specifications listed in the Schedule hereto.

LIST OF REVOKED STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS

NZSS 832:1950 Flexible metallic tubing for use in the petroleum industry; being BS 1465:1948.

NZSS 1027–28:1951 Steel pipes and tubes for pressure vessels for use in the chemical and allied industries; being BS 1507–08:1950.

NZSS 1264:1955 Photographic exposure tables; being BS 935:1948.

The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification No. D. 8127—Overhead-line Connector-boxes (Revision of NZSS 1212)

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above-mentioned draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies on loan from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 21 April 1965.
