At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 8th day of
March 1965
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of April 1965 the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the
    County of Tuapeka and included in the County of Clutha.
  2. The alteration of the boundaries of the said counties
    hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected
    under the Counties Act 1956.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, County of Tuapeka,
Beaumont Riding, containing 2,325 acres, more or less, bounded
by a line commencing at Trig. Station D, in Section 38, Block
VI, Rankleburn Survey District, and proceeding due east to
the middle of the Clutha River; thence generally northerly up
the middle of that river to a point in line with the middle of
the Blackcleugh Burn; thence generally north-westerly to and
up the middle of that burn to the northern boundary of
Block VI, Rankleburn Survey District; thence generally
westerly and southerly along the northern and western
boundaries of that block to a point due west of Trig. Station
D, in Section 38, Block VI, aforesaid; thence due east to the
point of commencement.

Town District of Lumsden Merged in County of Southland

March 1965
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. That from the 31st day of March 1965 the Town District
    of Lumsden shall be merged in the Oreti Riding of the County
    of Southland, and the Lumsden Town Council shall be
    dissolved.
  2. That all valuation rolls, electors lists, electors rolls, and
    rate books in force in the Lumsden Town District on the
    date aforesaid shall continue in force and be deemed to form
    part of the valuation rolls, electors lists, electors rolls, and
    rate books in force in the Oreti Riding of the County of
    Southland until new valuation rolls, electors lists, electors
    rolls, and rate books are made for the said riding of the said
    county.
  3. That all property and the control of any land or thing
    vested at the date aforesaid in the corporation or Town
    Council of the Lumsden Town District shall on that date
    be vested in the Corporation and the council respectively
    of the County of Southland, and all liabilities and engagements of the corporation of the said town district, and all
    proceedings pending by or against the said corporation, shall
    respectively be liabilities and engagements of, and proceedings
    to be carried on, by or against the corporation of the said
    county.

resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand
Army:

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY

Territorial Force

Captain K. R. Huband, LL.B., Legal Staff Officer, H.Q.,
Northern Military District, is transferred to the New Zealand
Army Legal Service in his present rank and seniority. Dated
19 January 1965.

1st Brigade Group Survey Meteorological and Locating Troop,
RNZA

Lieutenant James Robert Beaumont is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of N.Z.
Artillery, in the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 23 March 1964.

Territorial Force

2nd Reconnaissance Squadron (N.Z. Scottish), RNZAC
