A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir
Bernard Edward Fergusson, Governor-General of New Zea-
land, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate
in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her
Majesty the Queen by Duncan Archie Ure Anderson, sheep-
farmer, of Kurow, under and by virtue of Pastoral Lease,
Volume 338, folio 36, Otago Land Registry, is hereby taken
for the development of water power (Benmore Power
Scheme); and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 22nd day of March 1965.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto (which was acquired
for railway purposes and is not now required for that purpose)
shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road,
and that such road shall be maintained by the National Roads
Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled
and maintained by the said board.

years on and from 1 September 1964, as representing the
National War Memorial Carillon Society.
