RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1964, £3,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Porirua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for Staff Housing Loan 1964, the said Porirua Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0125 pence in the pound (£) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Porirua Borough Council held on Wednesday, 16 December 1964.

Municipal Buildings And Public Library Loan 1964, £255,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £255,000 authorised to be raised by the Porirua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for Municipal Buildings and Public Library Loan 1964, the said Porirua Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one penny in the pound (£) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Porirua Borough Council held on Wednesday, 16 December 1964.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £14,000 authorised to be raised by the Porirua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for Plant Loan 1964, the said Porirua Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·136 pence in the pound (£) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 8 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAURANGA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Electrical Extension Loan 1964, £100,000
“THAT, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric Power Board Electrical Extension Loan 1964, £100,000, authorised to be raised by special order under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy throughout the board’s district, the board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓ of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on 16 December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the board on the 16th day of December 1964.

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES
———
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order that instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto, a uniform consolidated special rate of five decimal four five pence (5·45d.) in the pound on all rateable property within the Borough of Whakatane be and the same is hereby made an annual-recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges payable in respect of the loans secured by those special rates, and may be levied in whole or in part year by year without further proceedings by the council, and shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of August in each year.

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Glen Eden taken on the 12th day of December 1964, on the proposal of the Glen Eden Borough Council to borrow the sum of thirteen thousand pounds (£13,000) for the purpose of forming and constructing Woodvale Road:

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments and the Counties Act 1956 and amendments, notice is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and formation of a Road passing through or adjoining the parcels of land referred to in the Schedule hereunder, and situated in Greenhithe-Wharf Road in Birkenhead Riding of the County of Waitemata, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the clerk of the said council, situated in the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any objections to the proposals, not being an objection to the amount of payment of compensation, and wishing them to be considered must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers:
