PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Reserves Loan 1964, £60,000, First Instalment of £8,000

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eight thousand pounds (£8,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting dressing sheds and conveniences, developing reserves, and making improvements to the Crematorium and its equipment, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of eleven thousandths of a penny (0·011d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 17th day of December 1964.

Primary Sewage Treatment Plant Loan 1963, £430,000, First Instalment of £20,000

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the construction of a primary sewage treatment plant on land at Awapuni, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of twenty-seven thousandths of a penny (0·027d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eight thousand seven hundred pounds (£8,700) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Opera House Loan 1953, which matures on the 1st day of February 1965, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of sixteen one thousandths of a penny (0·016d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of nineteen thousand eight hundred pounds (£19,800) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Street Improvement Loan 1952, which matures on the 1st day of February 1965, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of forty-six one thousandths of a penny (0·046d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of seven (7) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Wainuiomata Hill Road (West Side) Reconstruction Loan 1964, £12,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £12,500 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of upgrading and tar sealing the western side of the Wainuiomata Hill Road in the Wainuiomata Riding of the County of Hutt, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal 103 (one hundred and three one-thousandths) of one penny in the £1 upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Wainuiomata Riding of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 23 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Alan Joseph Smyth, County Clerk of the Hutt County Council, certify that the above resolution was passed at the meeting of the Hutt County Council held on the 17th day of December 1964.

CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Pensioners’ Housing Loan 1964, £8,600

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Cambridge Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £8,600, authorised to be raised by the Cambridge Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Cambridge Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·083d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Cambridge; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council held on the 25th day of November 1964.
