RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Plant Loan 1963 (£1,400)—Motor Truck Purchase
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kaitangata Borough Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £1,400, authorised to be raised by the Kaitangata Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new motor truck, the said Kaitangata Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 2·164d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Kaitangata, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being for a period of eight years or until the loan is fully paid.”

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
Drainage Supplementary Loan 1963 of £16,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the amendments thereof, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and principal repayments as special loan to be known as Drainage Supplementary Loan 1963 of £16,000 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of continuing improving, renewing, and extending drainage reticulation and works the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·040 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the Gazettes of the 14th day of March 1957, No. 22, at pages 485 and 486, on the 29th day of August 1957, No. 62, at page 1579, of the 9th day of January 1958, No. 2, at page 16, of the 21st day of August 1958, No. 52, at page 1104, of the 23rd day of February 1961, No. 14, at page 324, of the 18th day of May 1961, No. 33, at page 704; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of the raising of the said loan, or until such loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Wanganui City Council held on the 10th day of February 1964.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Redemption Loan 1964, £42,700 (Second Instalment for Repayment of Debentures in Waterworks Loan 1952 of £267,600)
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of forty-two thousand seven hundred pounds (£42,700) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Water Supply Extension and Distribution Loan 1952 of £267,600 which matures on 1 March 1964, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of eighty-eight thousandths of a penny (0·088d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 10th day of February 1964.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE
Reserves Development Loan (No. 8) 1963, £50,700
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand seven hundred pounds (£50,700) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing reserves, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three hundred and four thousandths of a penny (0·304d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Opotiki Flood Control Scheme Loan 1963, £20,625
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,625 authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Board’s share of the cost of the carrying out of the Opotiki Flood Control Scheme, the said Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the various classes within the Opotiki Flood Control Scheme Special Rating Area as defined by the classification list and classification plans for such area prepared and adopted by the Board for the purpose of rating for such scheme and deposited in the office of the Board; that the said special rate in the various classes according to such classification list shall be as set out in the following Schedule, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
