the Whangarei Harbour Board proposes, under the pro-

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hutt Valley Electric Power
and Gas Board proposes, under the provisions of the Electric-
Power Boards Act 1925 and the Public Works Act 1928, to
execute a certain public work, namely, the erection of a
Branch Office and Showroom at Upper Hutt in connection
with the undertaking of the board; and that for the purposes
of such public work the board proposes to take the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby given
that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited
in the public office of the board situate at 10 Queen’s Road,
Lower Hutt, and in the public office of the Upper Hutt
Borough Council situate at 157–163 Main Road, Upper Hutt,
and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during
ordinary office hours.

Every person affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land is called upon to set
forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the
execution of the work or to the taking of the land, not being
an objection to the amount or payment of compensation,
and to send the written objection within 40 days from the
first publication of this notice (namely the 18th day of
December 1964), to the Hutt Valley Electric Power and
Gas Board at its office at 10 Queen’s Road, Lower Hutt.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments
and the Counties Act 1956 and amendments, notice is hereby
given that the Waitemata County Council proposes under
the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a
certain work, namely, the construction and formation of
a road passing through or adjoining the parcels of land
referred to in the Schedule hereto and situated in Paremoremo
Block Road in Pukeatua Riding of the County of Waitemata,
and for the purposes of such public work the lands described
in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice
is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk of the
said council situated in the Council Chambers, 199 Karanga-
hape Road, Auckland, and is open for inspection (without
fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said lands who have any
objections to the proposal, and wishing them to be considered,
must state their objections in writing and send the same within
forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the
County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Changes to the City of Wanganui District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned
changes to the district scheme, under the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953 for the City of Wanganui, were approved
by the council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the
14th day of December 1964. No deferment was sought by the
Minister or any local authority. All objections relating to the
changes have been disposed of and the scheme has been
amended to give effect to all objections allowed. No appeals
have been made to the board. The council has also resolved
that the under-mentioned changes shall come into operation
on the 1st day of January 1965. Copies of the changes as
approved have been deposited in the Council’s Office, St. Hill
Street, and in the Wanganui Public Library and may
be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at
any time when these places are open to the public.
