The notice must state the name, address, and description of the person or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm, and an address for service within 3 miles of the office of the Supreme Court at Auckland, and must be signed by the person or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served on, or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioner’s address for service not later than 4 p.m. in the afternoon of the 25th day of February 1965.

NOTICE OF CEASING TO CARRY ON BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND
IN the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Power and Traction Finance Co. Ltd., a company duly incorporated in England and registered in New Zealand as an overseas company under Part XII of the Companies Act 1955, hereby gives notice pursuant to section 405 (2) of the Companies Act 1955 of its intention to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand and of its intention to give notice to the Registrar of Companies at Wellington after the expiration of three months from the date of the first publication of this notice of its having so ceased to have a place of business in New Zealand.

I, Frank Paul Evans, General Manager of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd., do solemnly and sincerely declare:
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £106,250, divided into 25,000 shares of £4 5s.
- That the number of shares issued is 25,000.
- That calls to the amount of £2 7s. 6d. (two pounds 7/6) per share have been made under which the sum of £59,375 has been received.
- That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates under administration during the six months ended 30 September 1964, is £2,945,739 6s. 10d.
- That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates under administration during the six months ended 30 September 1964, is £2,586,010 7s. 5d.
- That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration during the six months ended 30 September 1964, is £103,113 18s. 4.
- That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day of October last owing to sundry persons by the company were: on judgment, nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £844,714; on estimated liabilities, nil; on mortgage £18,000.
- That the assets of the company on that date were: Government securities, £10,000; other securities, £481,709; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash on deposit and at bank, £464,341.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957.

BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Extension Loan No. 19 (1964), £60,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the board’s Reticulation Extension Loan No. 19 (1964) of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Bay of Islands Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-quarter of one penny (¼d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Bay of Islands Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 10th day of December in each and every year, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid”.

POVERTY BAY CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Workers’ Dwellings Loan 1964, £10,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of two dwellings for the board’s staff, the said Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·0032d. (decimal nought nought three two pence) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property within the Poverty Bay Catchment District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board held on 10 December 1964.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Municipal Abattoir Loan, £318,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“THAT, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred and eighteen thousand pounds (£318,000) to be known as the Municipal Abattoir Loan 1964, £318,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of extending the Municipal Abattoir, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifteen thirty-sevenths of a penny (15/37ths of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NELSON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Aged Persons Flats Loan No. 4, 1964
“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £36,300 to be known as the “Aged Persons Flats Loan No. 4, 1964” authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0833d. in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Nelson comprising the whole of the said city; and such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until such loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Nelson City Council at a meeting held in the City Council Chambers, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, on the 10th day of December 1964.
