IN the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Power and Traction Finance Co. Ltd., a company duly incorporated in England and registered in New Zealand as an overseas company under Part XII of the Companies Act 1955, hereby gives notice pursuant to section 405 (2) of the Companies Act 1955 of its intention to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand and of its intention to give notice to the Registrar of Companies at Wellington after the expiration of three months from the date of the first publication of this notice of its having so ceased to have a place of business in New Zealand.

APPLICATION has been made to the above company to issue a new certificate of title in lieu of original certificate No. 46891, issued in the name of Evelyn Mary Acland, late of Christchurch, and the executors of the estate have made a statutory declaration that the original certificate of title to the said stock has been lost.

Notice is hereby given that unless within 30 days from the date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificate a new certificate will be issued in place thereof.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

———

Housing Loan 1964, £5,500

“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of five thousand five hundred pounds (£5,500) authorised to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting a house thereon or purchasing land and an existing house for council staff, the said Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four nought two pence (0·0402d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Otahuhu; and that the said rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be repayable in each and every year on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off. That, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby appropriates and pledges the foregoing rate as security for the said loan.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Otahuhu Borough Council and recorded in the minutes of the proceedings of the meeting held on the 25th day of November 1964.

WAITAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

———

Extension Loan 1964, £170,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £170,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitaki Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Waitaki Electric Power District, the Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·1328d. in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the Waitaki Electric Power District, comprising the constituent districts of Oamaru Borough, Hampden Borough, Waitaki County, and part Waimate County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Waitaki Electric-power Board at its meeting on 30 November 1964, passed the above resolution.

SOUTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

———

Orari-Waihi-Temuka Loan No. 2, 1964, £100,000

THE South Canterbury Catchment Board in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, hereby resolves by way of special order, as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £100,000 under the above-mentioned Acts for river control work on the Orari, Waihi, and Temuka Rivers, the South Canterbury Catchment Board hereby makes a rate of 0·8310 pence on lands classed A, 0·5817 pence on lands classed B, 0·3878 pence on lands classed C, 0·1939 pence on lands classed D, 0·0831 pence on lands classed E, and 0·0277 pence on lands classed F upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Orari-Waihi-Temuka Special Rating District in proportion to the classification adopted by the board on 8 December 1955, and any amendments thereto; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the South Canterbury Catchment Board held on Wednesday, 14 October 1964, and confirmed at a meeting held on Wednesday, 18 November 1964.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Allandale Water Supply Loan 1964, £8,000

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Allandale Water Supply Loan 1964, £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Mackenzie County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing within the Allandale Water Race District, water races and other water works, appertaining to, or forming part of a water race, the said Mackenzie County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal 4207 pence in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Allandale Water Race District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of January and the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
