Allocating Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Sockburn to
Road Purposes

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Paparua County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 17777 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Amending Boundaries of a Wildlife Refuge in the Rotorua
Acclimatisation District

BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 11th day of February 1956, published in the Gazette, 23 February 1956, No. 10, at page 233, declaring land (County of Rotorua, Rotorua Acclimatisation District), to be a Wildlife Refuge, and hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Act, subject to the rights of the Maoris as contained in section 27 of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act 1922.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Rotorua County, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the eastern boundary of part Rotomahana Parekarangi 5B 6 Block with the edge of Lake Rotomahana, situated in Block XII, Tarawera Survey District, and proceeding northerly along the aforesaid eastern boundary to a point 5 chains distant from and measured at right angles to the aforesaid lake edge; thence generally easterly, generally southerly, and generally south-westerly along a line 5 chains from and parallel to that lake edge, to a point on the western boundary of part Rotomahanga Parekarangi 5B 5B Block situated in Block XVI, Tarawera Survey District; thence northerly along that western boundary to the aforementioned lake edge; thence generally westerly, generally northerly, and generally easterly along the lake edge to the point of commencement. As is shown on plan numbered 46/29/57 and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 7th day of December 1964.

Land Taken for Housing Purposes in the Borough of Thames

BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Thames as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of December 1964.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 9·09 perches situated in the Borough of Thames, being part of the land on D.P. 7099, and being part Kauaeranga No. 8 Block. All certificate of title, Volume 653, folio 275, South Auckland Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of November 1964.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of December 1964.
