NGARUAWAHIA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Roading Loan 1964, £20,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ngaruawahia Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Ngaruawahia Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of sealing roads within the borough, the said Ngaruawahia Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one penny and seven-sixteenths of one penny (1⁷⁄₁₆d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Ngaruawahia; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 17th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hastings City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £24,800 authorised to be raised by the Hastings City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the repayment on maturity of the balance of the five year stock in the £477,000 Development Loan 1958, second issue, to make a special rate of seventy-one thousandths of one penny (0·071d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Hastings comprising the whole of the city; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SOUTHLAND CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Longridge Stream Works Loan 1964, £11,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Southland Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,500 known as the Longridge Stream Works Loan 1964, authorised to be raised by the Southland Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting the board’s share of the cost of improvements to the Longridge Stream, the said board hereby makes and levies a special rate on a graduated scale according to a classification made for the purposes of such rate of the lands within that part of the Southland Catchment District defined in the Schedule hereto and to be known as the Longridge Stream Rating District, such special rate being as follows:
One hundred and seventy-four pence (174d.) per acre on lands classified as Class “A”;
Eighty-seven pence (87d.) per acre on lands classified as Class “B”;
Fifty-eight pence (58d.) per acre on lands classified as Class “C”;
Forty-three decimal five pence (43·5d.) per acre on lands classified as Class “D”;
Twenty-nine pence (29d.) per acre on lands classified as Class “E”; Fourteen decimal five pence (14·5d.) per acre on lands classified as Class “F”;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £38,400 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Water Supply Pipeline Replacement Loan 1952, Street Improvements Loan 1952, and the Water Supply Pipeline Replacement Additional Loan 1956, which mature on 24 September 1964 and 1 March 1965, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and nineteen one-thousandths of a penny (0·119d.) in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property within the City of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Gisborne City Council held on 24 November 1964.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Elderly Persons Housing Loan No. 2, 1964, of £13,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £13,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for aged persons, the Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0078d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei City Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute certain public work, namely, the widening of Mackesy Road in the City of Whangarei, and for this purpose the Whangarei City Council proposes to take under the provisions of the said Public Works Act 1928, the land described in the Schedule hereto for street. Notice is further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said council, situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing an area of 0·85 of a perch, more or less, and being part of Lot 57, on Deposited Plan 18256, situated in Block IX, Whangarei Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan No. 44695, and thereon coloured yellow.
