that boundary and the southern boundary of Section 4, Block III, aforesaid, including the crossing of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway and public roads to the western boundary of Section 45, Block IV, Puketapu Survey District; thence southerly generally along the western boundaries of Section 45 and Sections 46, again 45 and 47, all Block IV, aforesaid, and Sections 11, 13, 6, and 7, all Block VIII, Puketapu Survey District, including the crossing of public roads; thence easterly generally along the southern boundaries of the said Section 7 and Sections 9 and 8, Block VIII aforesaid, and the southern boundaries of Pakuratahi 1L 1, 1L 2, 1B 1 and 1B 4, to the sea coast, including the crossing of the No. 2 National State Highway; thence southerly generally along the sea coast to a point in line with the northern boundary of Town Section 253, Westshore, being also a point on the boundary of the City of Napier as described in Gazette, 1962, page 865; thence westerly along a right line across the Esplanade to and along the said northern boundary and its production across the East Coast Main Trunk Railway to the eastern side of the aforementioned State highway; thence southerly along that roadside to the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 2531, and along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 6408, being also a point on the eastern side of the said State highway and southerly along that roadside to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF PUKETAPU RIDING OF COUNTY OF HAWKE'S BAY

ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Hawke's Bay County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of Redclyffe Bridge at its intersection with the middle of the Tutaekuri River, in Block VII, Heretaunga Survey District, and proceeding up the middle of that river to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Lot 2 D.P. 3283, in Block VI, Kuripapango Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 65A, in Block XII, Kaweka Survey District; thence westerly along a right line between that Trig. and Trig. Station 26 (Tauwheketewhango), in Block XII, Mangamaire Survey District, to and up the middle of the Ngaruruoro River to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Tapapa Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Oamaru Stream, down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Tapapa No. 3 Block; thence south-easterly and easterly along the south-western and southern boundaries of Tapapa No. 3 Block and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Mohaka River; thence up the middle of the Mohaka River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Wharetoto Block; thence easterly generally to and along that boundary, the eastern boundary of that block and its production to the middle of the Ripia River; thence south-easterly down the middle of that river to and down the middle of the Mohaka River to a point in line with the western boundary of S.G.R. 9, in Block XI, Pohue Survey District; thence southerly to and along that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Block 95, Patoka Crown Grant District, and south-easterly along that boundary to the northern boundary of D.P. 1726; thence easterly along that boundary to its easternmost point and along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 6, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District, along the southern boundary of that section, the western and southern boundaries of Section 5, the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of Section 15, all of Block XVI, aforesaid and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Kings Stream; thence southerly down the middle of that stream to and down the middle of the Mangaone River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 1, Deeds Plan 367; thence easterly generally to and along that boundary, the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 2169, again the northern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 1 to and easterly along the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2169, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Glengarry Road; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of the land shown in Deeds Plan 234; thence easterly generally to and along that boundary, the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 884, the northern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 8666, the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6541, to and southerly along the eastern boundaries of that Lot 1, D.P. 6541, and Lot 3, D.P. 8666, aforesaid and the production of the last-named boundary to the middle of Seafield Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, Deeds Plan 364; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to the north-western boundary of Block 74, Western Side of Harbour Crown Grant District; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-western and south-western boundaries of that block to the northern boundary of Wharerangi 8c 2D Block; thence easterly along that boundary and the northern boundary of Wharerangi 8c 1 and its production to the middle of the stopbank on the northern side of the Ahuriri Lagoon Main Outfall Channel; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of that stopbank to a point approximately 52 chains from No. 2 National State Highway and in line with the middle of a formed private roadway shown on S.O. Plan 2252; thence south-easterly to and along the middle of that roadway for a distance of approximately 88 chains; thence south-westerly

approximately 55 chains, south-easterly approximately 18 chains, and south-westerly approximately 40 chains along the middle of formed private roadways as shown on the aforesaid plan to the middle of Park Island Road; thence northerly generally along the middle of that road, westerly along the middle of Lawn Cemetery Road; south-westerly generally along the middle of Oak Road, and north-westerly generally along the middle of Napier Park-Rissington Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 10, Deeds Plan 194; thence southerly generally to and along that boundary and south-easterly generally along the southern boundaries of that Lot 10, and Lot 1, D.P. 6502, and the production of the last-named boundary to the middle of Church Road; thence southerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Suburban Section 61, Meeanee; thence westerly to and along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Part Lot 11, Deeds Plan 194; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of that Part Lot 11 to the north-western corner of Lot 41, Deeds Plan 557; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of that lot, the north-western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 8276, Lot 6, D.P. 7908, Birdwood Street, and Lots 11 and 19, both D.P. 7908, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Puketapu Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 10267; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary and the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 10267, and its production to the middle of Dobbel Street; thence westerly along the middle of that street to the eastern boundary of Lot 3, Deeds Plan 325; thence southerly along that boundary to a point in line with middle of O'Dowd Road; thence south-easterly to and along the middle of that road, and south-westerly along the middle of Gloucester Street to its intersection with the middle of a public road forming the eastern boundary of Suburban Section 83, Meeanee; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road and easterly along the middle of a public road forming the northern boundary of Suburban Section 84, Meeanee to a point in line with the left bank of the Tutaekuri River; thence westerly to and along that bank to the eastern side of the Redclyffe Bridge and southerly along that side of the bridge to the middle of the Tutaekuri River, being the point of commencement.

THE following lists, issued under the authority of the Minister of Education in accordance with the requirements of the Education Amendment Act 1924, contain the names of:

  1. Probationary assistants and third year specialists who will qualify for Teachers' Certificates on 1 February 1965 and are now eligible to apply for positions becoming vacant from 1 February 1965.

  2. Probationary assistants who have not been certificated for various reasons.
