NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for Maori housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Te Kuiti and is there open for inspection: and that every person affected by the taking of the said land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Classification of Roads in Otorohanga County

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes the Warrants dated the 2nd day of June 1950† and the 13th day of January 1953‡ which relate to roads in Otorohanga County and hereby approves the Otorohanga County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto.

Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Ngutunui Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 6 August 1940, and published in the Gazette, No. 82, Volume II, 8 August 1940, page 1874, and registered under No. K. 25850.
