State Housing Land Set Apart for the Purposes of the Maori Housing Act 1935

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 2 of the Maori Housing Amendment Act 1938, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the State housing land, within the meaning of the Housing Act 1955, described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of the Maori Housing Act 1935.

Defining the Boundaries of the Waimea Electric Power District and Outer Area

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby define the boundaries of the Waimea Electric Power District and outer area as set out in the First and Second Schedules hereto respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE

WAIMEA ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District containing all the Counties of Waimea and Murchison, part of the County of Inangahua, all the Boroughs of Motueka and Richmond, and part of the City of Nelson, bounded by a line commencing at Pukerau Point on the eastern sea coast of Tasman Bay and proceeding south-easterly along a right line to North Castor Peak; thence generally southerly and south-westerly along the summit of the Bryant Range through the Rai Saddle and Mount Dupa to the source of Heringa Creek on Saddle Hill; thence south-easterly down the middle of that creek to the middle of the Pelorus River; thence generally south-westerly up the middle of that river to its source on Slaty Peak; thence generally south-westerly along the summit of Bryant Range and Richmond Range passing through Old Man, Mount Rintoul, Bishops Cap, and Bushy Top to Wards Pass; again south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station Top 2; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 3, Square 34, and that boundary produced across Provincial State Highway No. 63 to its southern side; thence south-westerly along the southern side of that highway to the westernmost corner of Section 6, Square 34; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Section 6 to the south-eastern corner of Section 11, Block XIV, Motupiko Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 11 and the summit of the St. Arnaud Range to Mount St. Arnaud; again generally south-westerly along the summit of the St. Arnaud Range and the summit of the Spenser Mountains, passing through the Camel, Mount McKay, Mount Humbolt, Mount Una, and Faerie Queen, to the junction near Ada Pass of the summit of the Spenser Mountains with the summit of the watershed between the Glenroy and Maruia Rivers; thence generally westerly and northerly along the summit of the watershed between the Glenroy and Maruia Rivers to Mount Cann; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 10, Block XIII, Matakitaki Survey District and that boundary produced across a public road to its southern side; thence westerly along the southern side of the said public road to and along the southern boundary of Block XIII, Matakitaki Survey District to the north-eastern corner of Block IV, Rahu Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Rahu Survey District to its junction with the north-east corner of Block IV, Lewis Survey District; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Block I and the eastern boundary of Block IV, Travers Survey District to a point on the summit of the Spenser Range; thence generally westerly along the summit of the Spenser Range and the southern watershed of the Maruia River to the western boundary of Block II, Lewis Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundary of Block II, Lewis Survey District, and Blocks XIV, X, VI, and II, Rahu Survey District and Blocks XIV, X, VI, and II, Burnett Survey District to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with the summit of the Brunner Range; thence generally northerly along the summit of the Brunner Range passing through Mount Pelion, Mount Wynn, and Trig. K. to a point due south of the confluence of the Eight Mile or Boundary Creek with the Buller River; thence due north along a right line to the mouth of the said Boundary Creek; thence generally northerly along a leading spur on the western side of the said creek to Bald Hill; thence generally north-easterly along the summit of the Lyell Range passing through Trig. W. and Nugget Knob to the Wangapeka Saddle; thence generally north-easterly along the summits of the Arthur Range and Pikikiruna Range through Mount Luna, Mount Arthur, Lodestone, Crusader, Hoary Head, and Pikikiruna to a point on the western boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Totaranui Survey District, in line with the southern boundary of Section 5, Block X, Totaranui Survey District; thence due east to and along that boundary and its production to the sea coast of Tasman Bay; thence generally south-easterly along the sea coast, crossing the mouths of all harbours and inlets to a point on the high water mark at Nelson City on the northern side of Rocks Road bearing 303° 42′ from a point on the north-western side of Princes Drive bearing 333° 26′ 17″ distance 83·15 links from Standard Survey Stone CLXIV (S.O. 8460); thence south-easterly along a right line to the said point on the north-western side of Princes Drive; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of the said Princes Drive to the northernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 5769; again south-westerly along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 2 and the north-western side of Princes Drive to a point in line with the south-western side of Boundary Road; thence south-easterly to and along the south-western side of the said Boundary Road and its production to the south-eastern side of Waimea Road thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of the said Waimea Road to the south-western side of Boundary Road; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of the said Boundary Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section D3 District of Wakatu; thence south-easterly to and along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section D3, the south-eastern end of Tukuka Street, the south-eastern boundary of Section D21 District of Wakatu, the south-eastern end of Grampian Road; and the south-
