COOK COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Cook County Council made on the 24th day of September 1964, Amendment No. 1 to the No. 1 Section of the Cook County District Scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The amendment relates to the proposed roading of the Industrial C Zone adjacent to the Railway Yard at Makaraka. The amendment has been deposited in the council's office, the Office of the District Land Registrar, and the Turanganui Public Library in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the amendment or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the council at any time not later than 8 December 1964. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers of the City of New Plymouth taken on the 31st day of October 1964, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £500,000 to be known as the Waterworks Improvement Loan 1963, for the purpose of erecting, constructing, and providing within and without the City of New Plymouth extensions of and additions to the reticulation and treatment of the council's water supply, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,411 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2,444 The number of informal votes was 27
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

MINING ACT 1926
APPLICATION FOR A WATER RACE
NOTICE is hereby given that by application No. 66/1964 Walter Alexander Dunstan has applied to the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Cromwell, for a licence for a water race commencing in the Kawarau River, 50 chains upstream from Victoria Bridge, and going East 40 chains by tunnel through the neck of land formed by the said river (known as Waitiri) and terminating back in the said river opposite the said commencing point passing through and under Crown lands, leased by Messrs Cook Bros. to divert 5,000 heads of water for mining purposes.
The said application and all objections thereto will be heard on Monday, 7 December 1964, at 10 a.m., at the Warden's Court, Cromwell.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar's Office and notified to the applicant whose address for service is at the office of Brodrick and Parcell, Solicitors, 49 Melmore Street, Cromwell, at least 3 days before the time so appointed.

MINING ACT 1926
APPLICATION FOR A WATER RACE
NOTICE is hereby given that by application No. 65/1964 Ethel Victoria Drake, of Hawea Flat, spinster, has applied for a licence to divert one-tenth of a head of water for domestic, stock, and irrigation purposes from two intakes in Grandview Creek and branch thereof, by a 1 in. pipeline of approximately 600 yards, passing through the properties of J. K. Rowley, I. G. Hodgkinson, Gray Bros., and Muir Bros. and along the county road to terminate at Section 28, Block I, Lower Hawea S.D.
Price 2s. 6d.
The said application and all objections thereto will be heard on Monday, 7 December 1964, at 10 a.m., at the Warden's Court, Cromwell.

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £3 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 50s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
