Address for service: The petitioner’s address for service is at the offices of Messrs Croker, McCormick, and Greiner, Kings Building, Devon Street, New Plymouth.
NOTE—Any person who intends to appear on the hearing of the said petition must serve on or send by post, to the above named, notice in writing of his intention so to do. The notice must state the name, address, and description of the person or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm and an address for service within 3 miles of the office of the Supreme Court at New Plymouth, and must be signed by the person or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioner’s address for service not later than 4 p.m. on the 20th day of February 1964.

WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Harbour Board hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £250,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act and in terms of the Whangarei Harbour Board Vesting and Empowering Act 1962 for the purposes of subdividing land £48,540, extending overseas berths, Port Whangarei, and approaches £185,957, and contingencies £15,503, the said Whangarei Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of point four one seven pence (0·417d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Whangarei Harbour District comprising the Borough of Whangarei, the Town Districts of Kamo and Hikurangi, and the County of Whangarei, excepting out of such county that portion thereof comprised in the Waipu River District as defined in Proclamation published in the Gazette on the 1st day of March 1900; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Whangarei Harbour Board held on 27 January 1964.

WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Harbour Board hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £187,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act and in terms of the Whangarei Harbour Board Vesting and Empowering Act 1963 for the purposes of making additions to the wharf £10,000, providing a water supply £90,000, and foam supplies £14,000, roading and land development £12,000, widening the Waiarohia Canal £16,000, and purchasing a hopper barge £45,000, the said Whangarei Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of point three one two pence (0·312d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Whangarei Harbour District comprising the Borough of Whangarei, the Town Districts of Kamo and Hikurangi, and the County of Whangarei, excepting out of such county that portion thereof comprised in the Waipu River District as defined in Proclamation published in the Gazette on the 1st day of March 1900; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Takapuna Central Off-street Parking Loan 1962, £125,000
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Takapuna City Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Takapuna Central Off-street Parking Loan 1962, £125,000, authorised to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way of special loan under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of providing off-street parking in the Takapuna central commercial area of the City of Takapuna, the Takapuna City Council makes a special rate of one decimal six eight two pence (1·682d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the special rating area as this is more particularly defined in the special rating roll prepared for the purpose); and that such special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Takapuna City Council held on the 28th day of January 1964.

DEVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Buildings Redemption Loan 1964, £11,400
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Devonport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £11,400 (eleven thousand four hundred pounds) authorised to be raised by the Devonport Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity date that portion of the Buildings Loan 1952 which matures on 1 May 1964, the said Devonport Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nine five of a penny (0·095d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Devonport comprising the whole of the Borough of Devonport; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Devonport Borough Council on the 29th day of January 1964.

BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Extension Loan No. 18 (1963), £60,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Extension Loan No. 18 (1963) of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Bay of Islands Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-quarter of one penny (¼d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Bay of Islands Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 12th day of December in each and every year, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 7, 1963, £50,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two one three two of a penny (0·2132d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 28th day of January 1964.
