Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in Block XVI, Kaitieke Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto (which was taken for railway purposes and is not now required for that purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the National Roads Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 1 acre 3 roods 28 perches situated in Block XVI, Kaitieke Survey District, Wellington R.D., being part railway land; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18659 (S.O. 25063) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 20th day of July 1964.

Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of road containing 1 rood 13 perches situated in Block VI, Town of Waihola, Otago R.D., adjoining Sections 15, 16, and 18; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18555 (S.O. 13464) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of August 1964.

Authorising Industrial Machinery Ltd. to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the Town District of Alexandra

At the Government House at Wellington this 12th day of August 1964
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Industrial Machinery Ltd., a duly incorporated company, having its registered office at Dunedin (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
2. This licence is issued under the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
3. The System of supply shall be the system described in paragraph (f) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. Electrical energy shall be received in bulk from the Otago Central Electrical Power Board at a pressure of 6,600 V in the neighbourhood of the Fraser River.

DURATION OF LICENCE
4. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1966.

SCHEDULE
Line adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electricity commencing from the existing Otago Central Electric Power Board's 33,000-V line in Section 67, Block I, Fraser Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 1 mile to the Fraser River and across that river to the licensee's dredge situated on the northern bank in Block X, Leaning Rock Survey District; all being situated in the Town District of Alexandra in the Land District of Otago and being more particularly delineated by means of a red line on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 640 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
