HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Blackstone Rabbit District Order 1964.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. - The boundaries of the Blackstone Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 3rd day of May 1950,* are hereby extended and redefined, and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE BLACKSTONE RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Maniototo, Vincent, and Waitaki, containing 152,450 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Mount Ida on the eastern boundary of Idaburn Survey District and proceeding generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Run 227D to the north-eastern side of the Otago Central Railway; thence westerly along a right line to the south-eastern boundary of Run 227D; thence south-westerly along that boundary to the north-eastern side of State Highway No. 85; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of that highway to a point in line with the north-western side of the Ida Valley-Omakau road; thence south-westerly to and along the north-western side of that road to its intersection with the south-western side of Boundary Road; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of that road and its production to the north-western side of the Poolburn-Auripo road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that road to the north-western boundary of Block III, Poolburn Survey District; thence south-westerly, north-westerly, and again south-westerly along the north-western, north-eastern, and again north-western boundaries of Poolburn Survey District to the southernmost corner of Block XV, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that block to the northernmost corner of Section 1, Ida Valley Farm Settlement; thence generally south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Ida Valley Farm Settlement, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Section 7, Block XIV, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence south-easterly, south-westerly, and north-westerly along the north-eastern, south-eastern, and south-western boundaries of that Section 7 to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 10, Block XIII, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary and southerly and south-westerly along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that Section 10 to its southernmost point; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Run 565 to the easternmost corner of Section 10, Block XIX, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of Section 13, Block XIX, aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the generally southern boundary of Section 12, Block XIX, aforesaid; thence south-westerly and north-easterly along the south-eastern and north-western boundaries of that section, and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that section and Section 4, Block XIV, Tiger Hill Survey District, to the southernmost corner of Run 244J; thence generally north-easterly and generally westerly along the south-eastern and northern boundaries of Block XX, Tiger Hill Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Manuherikia River; thence generally north-easterly and north-westerly up the middle of that river to its intersection with the western side of a road at the confluence of the east and west branches of the Manuherikia River; thence generally north-westerly, along the south-western boundaries of Runs 582 and 684, and generally north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Run 684 and its production to the middle of a road; thence south-easterly to and along the north-eastern boundary of Run 684 to the north-western boundary of Run 322E; thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig. E on the north-eastern boundary of Run 322E; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of that run and Run 582 to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned run; thence generally south easterly along the summit of the Hawkdun Range intersecting Runs 227, 227A, 227B, 227C, and 227D to the point of commencement.

Amending an Order in Council Appointing Five Non-elective Members of the Southland Catchment Board

PURSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 3rd day of August 1949, and published in Gazette of 4 August 1949, at page 1626 appointing five non-elective members of the Southland Catchment Board as amended by Order in Council dated 11 March 1963, and published in Gazette of 21 March 1963, at page 369, by deleting the words “Fields Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, Invercargill,” and substituting the words “Instructor in Agriculture (Soil Conservation), Department of Agriculture, Invercargill.”

Lieutenant Commander E. Blakiston, released (age), to date 11 June 1964 and placed on the Retired List, to date 12 June 1964.
