TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Specified Departure From Operative District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, by consent dated 2 June 1964, consented to a specified departure from the Stratford Borough Council’s Operative District Scheme by permitting the use of the rear portions of Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan Number 8057, Section 265, Town of Stratford, and of the whole of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan, Number 6455, part Section 264, Town of Stratford, situated in Regan Street and Juliet Street as commercial, to enable James Hutchings, the applicant, to continue and extend his existing business of upholstery and trimming of the interiors of motor vehicles, tent repairing, and canvas work generally, notwithstanding that the land is and shall remain zoned Residential, but subject however to the following condition:
- That the vehicular access to the rear of the property be located on the Railway Department land adjacent to the Western boundary.
Copies of the specified departure have been deposited in the Council’s office and in the Public Library and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notification of Amendments I and II of the No. 2 Section (Mahia-Opoutama) of the Wairoa County District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Council made on the 29th day of July 1964, amendment No. 1 and amendment No. 2 to the No. 2 Section of the Wairoa County District Scheme, has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The amendments relate to the east of Mahia Beach and the sea front highway fronting Blue Bay. The amendment has been deposited in the County office in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the office is open to the public.
Objections to the amendment or to any part thereof shall be in writing on form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 9 September 1964 (at least 6 weeks after first advertisement). At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to oppose or support any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Central Area District Planning Scheme
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that, by a decision dated 19 June 1964, the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board consented to the application of the New Plymouth City Council for a departure under section 35 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, from the above-mentioned District Scheme.
The substance and effect of the consent is to permit Win-stones Ltd. to use part Section 1529, Town of New Plymouth (C.T. 119/107), in Eliot Street, for the purposes of a warehouse and make additions and extensions to the existing warehouse on adjoining land notwithstanding that the said part Section 1529 is and shall remain zoned as Residential.
A full copy of the consent may be inspected, without fee, at any time during office hours at the Town Clerk’s Office, Liardet Street, New Plymouth.

THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Application for Change of Use
NOTICE is given that an application has been received from Mr L. W. East for consent to the change of use of the property situated on Ranfurly Road, Whangamata, and described as Lot 21, D.P. S. 3352, so as to permit the establishment of a coffee deck on the property.
The land is at present zoned Residential on the Council’s undisclosed district scheme. The Council will therefore consider this application under the provisions of section 38A of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, at its meeting to be held in the Council Chambers on Thursday, 20 August 1964, at 2 p.m.
The Council is prepared to rezone the property Commercial A and to consider this proposal as a conditional use of land within a Commercial A Zone. The conditions would be as follows:—

That the hours of business shall be confined to the period between 8 a.m. and midnight of the same day;

That no loud speaker system shall be operated in such a manner as to cause undue annoyance and inconvenience to the occupiers of neighbouring residential properties;
-
That at all times during the evening hours of operation the environs shall be adequately lighted.
Plans of the proposal may be inspected at the County Engineer’s Office, Mary Street, Thames. Any owner or occupier of property may object to the proposed use by notice in writing delivered to the Council not later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, 13 August 1964. Every such objector shall state the grounds of the objection and the address for service and whether the objector desires to be heard in support of his objection.
