Declaration Affecting Farming Businesses for Income Tax Purposes in Relation to a Drought

Pursuant to section 103A of the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, the Minister of Finance hereby declares the drought in the under-mentioned localities during the summer 1963–1964 and, in so far as the drought extends thereto, during the autumn and winter of that last-mentioned year, to be an event, happening, or cause (within the meaning of those words as used in subsection (5) of the said section) adversely affecting farms or livestock generally in those localities.

The following parts of the Wairoa County:

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Invercargill City Council in such manner, at such price, and on such terms and conditions as the Council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council's reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other recreation reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for recreation purposes.

Change of the Purpose of a Reserve and Vesting in the Foxton Borough Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes those parts of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for ferry purposes to reserves for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the said lands, and vests the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Foxton, in trust, for those purposes.
