Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers' Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940* to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Varying Determinations by the Minister of Customs Under Section 16 of the Customs Acts Amendment Act 1934

Pursuant to section 16 of the Customs Acts Amendment Act 1934, the Minister of Customs doth hereby vary the determinations made under the said section 16, dated the 29th day of April 1939 and published in the Gazette on the 11th day of May 1939, at page 1457, by adding to paragraph 4 of Part II thereof, the under-mentioned goods which, if imported, shall not, except with the special permission of the Minister and under conditions prescribed by him, be used in the assembly, completion, or manufacture of motor vehicles of any of the classes mentioned in Part I thereof (except omnibuses):

Exterior rear vision mirrors.

This variation of the aforesaid determinations shall take effect on the 1st day of July 1964.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a site for buildings of the General Government over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Reservation of Land

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Piako County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Piako and revokes the reservation for a site for county buildings over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Notice Relating to the Use of Insecticides (Notice No. Ag. 7911)

Pursuant to clause 3 (2) of the Stock (Insecticides and Oestrogens) Regulations 1961,* the Minister of Agriculture hereby gives notice that the chemical specified in the Schedule hereto is approved for use as an active ingredient in any insecticide registered under the Stock Remedies Act 1934, subject to the use of that insecticide in the names prescribed by the proprietor for the control or destruction of anthropod parasites or other insects on sheep and swine and on cattle other than milking dairy cattle.

Notice Respecting Proposed Constitution of Borough of Wainuiomata

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 7 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto be constituted a borough by the name of the Borough of Wainuiomata. All persons affected who object to the proposed constitution are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, within one month from the date of publication of this notice.
