Declaration That a Reserve be the Otauhu Domain and Appointment of Domain Board

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to be known as the Otauhu Domain, and further, appoints

  • William Verdun Barker
  • Archibald Bruce Begley,
  • Hugh McLees,
  • Hector Robert Mitchell,
  • Reginald Vivian Owen,
  • Leslie Frank Pearce,
  • Robert Gordon Pearce, and

Exemption Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940*

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in their thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940* to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
