WAITOMO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1964 of £20,000

Pursuant to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, as amended by the 1959 and 1961 Amendment Acts, the Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a renewal loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitomo Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the General Extension Loan 1958, Building Completion Loan 1954, and Reticulation Loan 1954, which mature on 1 July and 1 December 1964, the said Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of nine fiftieths of one penny (9/50d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Waitomo Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off".

TARARUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tararua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal interest and other charges on a loan of £10,700 (to be known as Redemption Loan 1964) authorised to be raised by the Tararua Electric Power Board in New Zealand by "consent" under the above-mentioned Act and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Akitio Reticulation Loan 1953 of £5,000 and the Inner Area Loan 1953 of £13,000 which mature on the 1st day of August 1964, together with those portions of the Akitio Loan 1954, £2,500, and the Inner Area Loan 1954, £7,000, which mature on the 1st day of October 1964, the said Tararua Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 79/1000 (point nought seven nine) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Tararua Electric Power District as defined in the Gazette, No. 31, of the 22nd day of May 1958, at pages 652 and 653; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Tararua Electric Power Board at its meeting held on 29 May 1964.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Kerikeri Riding and the Kerikeri County Town taken on the 22nd day of May 1964, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £2,500 to be known as the Kerikeri Car Park Loan 1963 for the purpose of purchasing and developing land as a car park in the Kerikeri County Town resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .... 102 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 191

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the First Schedule hereto and to stop the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken and of the portions of road proposed to be stopped is open for public inspection at the office of the Raglan County Council, Great South Road, Ngaruawahia, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections, in writing at the office of the council on or before the 6th day of July 1964.

TAURANGA CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A SERVICE LANE

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, notice is hereby given that the Tauranga City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to take the land described in the Schedule here to for the purposes of a service lane. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Willow Street, Tauranga, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Tauranga City Council, Willow Street, Tauranga.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Changes to the City of Auckland District Scheme Approved

Pursuant to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned changes to the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the City of Auckland were approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on 25 May 1964.

The Council has also resolved that the under-mentioned changes to the district scheme shall come into operation on 10 June 1964, by which date certified correct copies of the scheme changes, as approved, will be deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.
