TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notification of Amendments I and II of the No. 2
Section (Mahia-Oputama) of the Wairoa County District
Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution
of the council made on the 14th day of April 1964, Amendment
No. 1 and Amendment No. 2 to the No. 2 Section of
the Wairoa County District Scheme has been recommended
for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
The amendments relate to the east of Mahia Beach and the
sea front highway fronting Blue Bay. The amendment has
been deposited in the county office in accordance with section
22 (1) of that Act, and is there open for inspection without
fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the
office is open to the public.
Objections to the amendment or to any part thereof shall
be in writing on Form E prescribed in the First Schedule
to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and
shall be lodged at the office of the council at any time not later
than 29 May 1964 (at least 6 weeks after first advertisement).
At a later date every objection will be open for public in-
spection, and any person who wishes to oppose or support
any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing
of objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing
within a period of which public notice will be given.

FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT 1909
ADVERTISMENT OF CANCELLING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies
has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909,
by writing under his hand this 12th day of May 1964, cancelled
the registry of the Otahuhu Lodge No. 147 of the In-
dependent Order of Odd Fellows of New Zealand, friendly
society (Register No. 146/266), held at Otahuhu on the
ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

MINING ACT 1926
NOTICE is hereby given that, by application No. 22/64, Sidney
Henry Andrews, of Patearoa, farmer, has applied for a licence
to divert 1 head of water from Stoney Creek on Run 624,
of James Falconer, for irrigation and stock watering purposes.
The said application will be heard at the Warden's Court,
Cromwell, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday the 17th day of June
1964.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar's office at Crom-
well and notified to the applicant whose address for service
is at the office of Brodrick and Parcel, Solicitors, Melmore
Street, Cromwell, at least three days before the said time
of hearing.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
CHURCH PROPERTY TRUST (CANTERBURY) AMENDMENT ACT
1964
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter of a
Private Bill intituled "An Act to amend the Church Property
Trust (Canterbury) Act 1879" to provide for the amendment
of section 10 thereof so as to add a purpose additional to
the purposes already set out in the said section and enable
the Church Property Trustees to apply income from the
Bishopric Estate towards the provision of furniture and
furnishings for the residence provided for the occupation of
the Bishop of Christchurch, notice is hereby given that the
Church Property Trustees, a body corporate constituted under
and by virtue of certain Ordinances of the Superintendent
and Provincial Council of the late Province of Canterbury
intituled respectively "The Church Property Trust Ordinance
Session II No. 3" and "The Church Property Trust Amend-
ment Ordinance 1867", intends to present a petition to the
House of Representatives in Parliament assembled and during
this present session thereof for leave to introduce the above-
mentioned Bill, the objects of which are to amend the Church
Property Trust (Canterbury) Act 1879 so as to enable the
Church Property Trustees as trustees pursuant to the said
Act of the Bishopric Estate therein defined to apply income
from the said Bishopric Estate towards the provision of
furniture and furnishings for any residence provided for the
occupation of the Bishop of Christchurch and further to
direct that the costs charges and expenses of and incidental
to the preparation and completion of the said Bill shall be
paid out of the income of the said Bishopric Estate.

The promoter of the Bill is the said the Church Property
Trustees and the address to which communications or notices
to the promoter may be sent and at which a copy of the
Bill may be inspected is at the offices of Elmo Connal Cham-
pion, Solicitor for the Church Property Trustees, 183 Man-
chester Street, Christchurch.
