Extending the Time for Forwarding the Report of a Commission Appointed to Inquire Into Alleged Nuisances in Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, AND TO:
Frank Felix Reid, Esquire, C.B.E., of Christchurch, Retired Stipendiary Magistrate;
Walter Edwin Bate, Esquire, O.B.E., of Hastings, Barrister and Solicitor; and
Francis Malcolm Corkhill, Esquire, of Invercargill, Engineer:
GREETING:
WHEREAS, by Order in Council dated the 20th day of December 1963, you, the said Frank Felix Reid, Walter Edwin Bate, and Francis Malcolm Corkhill, were appointed to be a commission, pursuant to the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1908, to inquire into and report on divers matters related to alleged nuisances in the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District:
And whereas such commission was by the said Order in Council required to submit its report not later than the 30th day of May 1964:
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time within which such commission shall submit its report until the 31st day of January 1965:
Now, therefore, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said Act and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, hereby declare and appoint that the time at or before which you, the said Frank Felix Reid, Walter Edwin Bate, and Francis Malcolm Corkhill, shall submit your report as aforesaid is hereby extended to the 31st day of January 1965:
And I hereby declare that the provisions of the aforesaid Order in Council, dated the 20th day of December 1963, shall apply as fully and effectively in all respects as if the 31st day of January 1965 were the date originally fixed in the said Order in Council as the last day for the submission by such commission of its report.

Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Napier Appointed
PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Napier for the term of one year, expiring on the 30th day of April 1965.

Bryan Sheridan Brinsley, John Fenwick, and Victor Brian Heath (nominated by the New Zealand Port Employers’ Association (Incorporated)); and
