THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Whangarei Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea near
Hihiaua 4 acres 3 roods of land, more or less, as shown
shaded blue on plan marked M.D. 11757 and deposited in
the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Marlborough Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea
in Picton Harbour 1·8 acres of land, more or less, as shown
edged red on plan marked M.D. 11736 and deposited in the
office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Exempting Maori Land From Payment of Rates

PURSUANT to section 104 of the Rating Act 1925, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby exempts, as from the 31st day of
March 1964, the Maori freehold lands named in the Schedule
hereto from payment of all rates made or levied by any local
authority under the provisions of the Rating Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
ALL those areas of Maori freehold land in the South Auckland
and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts, the areas and descriptions of
which are set out hereunder.
