FIRST SCHEDULE

THE Palmerston North City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Palmerston North, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the north-western side of a portion of Main Street fronting a subdivision of part Lot 3, D.P. 9664, being part of Section 170, Town of Palmerston North, comprised in certificate of title 437/145 (part).

SECOND SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

THE north-western side of all that portion of street situated in the City of Palmerston North, known as Main Street, fronting Lot 3, D.P. 9664, being part Section 170, Town of Palmerston North; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18342 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the 12th day of February 1964 and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

THE Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in Wellington City, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the eastern side of the portion of King Street adjoining part Sections 736 and 738, Town of Wellington, being all (or part) of the land in certificates of title, Volumes and folios 153/251, 306/157, 306/156, 505/191, 504/36, 109/233, and 88/173, Wellington Registry, as is more particularly shown on the plan annexed hereto.

SECOND SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

THE eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the City of Wellington, known as King Street, fronting part Sections 736 and 738, Town of Wellington; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18404 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The Central Hawke’s Bay College Board of Governors Order 1964

At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of April 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Central Hawke’s Bay College Board of Governors Order 1964.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1964.

  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of Central Hawke’s Bay College, prescribed by the Central Hawke’s Bay College Board of Governors Order 1961,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Hawke’s Bay Education Board;
(b) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Waipukurau School or the Terrace School District;
(c) One member elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Waipawa School District;
(d) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Ruataniwha School District, the Onga Onga School District, the Springhill School District, the Tikokino School District, the Otane School District, the Pukehou School District, the Poukawa School District, the Argyll East School District, the Wakarara School District or the Te Hauke Maori School District;
(e) One member elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Pukeora School District, the Takapau School District, the Marakeke School District, the Hatuma School District, the Wallingford School District, the Flemington School District, the Porangahau School District, the Wilder School District, the Oueroa School District, the Ponana School District, the Omakere School District, the Punawaitai School District, the Ashley Clinton School District, the Makaretu North School District, the Orapa School District, or the Mangaorapa School District;
(f) One member appointed by the Waipukurau Borough Council;
(g) One member appointed by the Waipawa Borough Council;
(h) One member co-opted by the Board itself, if and when it thinks fit.

  1. The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the school districts to which paragraphs (b), (c), (d), and (e) of clause 2 of this order apply.

  2. The Central Hawke’s Bay College Board of Governors Order 1961* is hereby revoked.

The constitution of the Board of Governors of Dannevirke High School, prescribed by the Dannevirke High School Board of Governors Order 1955,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Hawke’s Bay Education Board;
(b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils of the school;
(c) One member appointed by the Dannevirke Borough Council;
(d) One member appointed by the Dannevirke County Council;
(e) One member co-opted by the Board itself, if and when it thinks fit.

  1. The Dannevirke High School Board of Governors Order 1955* is hereby revoked.
