the outstanding liability in respect of a portion (£50,000)
of the Extensions Loan 1955 of £150,000, the Poverty Bay
Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one fifty-second of a penny (⅓d.) in the pound on the rateable
value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property
in that portion of the Poverty Bay Electric Power District as is
contained in the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town
District), Waikohu County, Uawa County, Waiapu County,
and the City of Gisborne, and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is duly paid up.”

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Water Supply Redemption Loan (1964) £11,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo
Borough Council resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of eleven thousand pounds (£11,000) authorised to be
raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that
portion of the Water Supply Loan (1955) £130,000 which
matures on 1 March 1964, the Taupo Borough Council
hereby makes a special rate of nought point one nought eight
pence (0·108d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of
all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo comprising
the whole of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council
at a meeting held on 25 March 1964.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Olympic Pool Loan 1963, £60,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Napier
City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £60,000 (sixty thousand pounds)
authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a
swimming pool, ancillary pools, buildings, and other works
related to the development of the area and surrounds, the
said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of decimal one one nine (0·119) of a penny (d.) in the
pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City
of Napier; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otamatea
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £2,900 authorised to be raised by the Otamatea
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new fire engine and auxiliary equipment
for the Maungaturoto Secondary Urban Fire Brigade, the
said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a special rate
of one decimal nought seven pence (1·07d.) in the pound
upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property
in the Otamatea County; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
15 years, or until the loan is paid off.”
This resolution was passed at a meeting of the Otamatea
County Council held on Wednesday, 18 March 1964.

ST. KILDA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
St. Kilda Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £22,000 authorised to be raised by the St. Kilda
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of erecting flats for pensioners in the Central Battery
site, St. Kilda, the said St. Kilda Borough Council hereby
makes a special rate of 0·2583d. in the pound (£) upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of St.
Kilda comprising the whole of the Borough of St. Kilda; and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the
25th day of March and 25th day of September in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
