IN the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Majors Hire Service Ltd., notice is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 29th day of March 1964, filed in the said Court by Amalgamated Brick and Pipe Co. Ltd.; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 24th day of April 1964 at 10 a.m.; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Whangarei District Planning Scheme No. 2 Approved
PURSUANT to section 28 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for that portion of the district covered by the No. 1 Operative District Planning Scheme and for Onerahi was approved by the Whangarei Borough Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 1st day of April 1964, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of, and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed, and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 13th day of April 1964. Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendments, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-five thousand five hundred pounds (£35,500) to be known as the Albert Street Parking Building Additional Loan No. 2, 1963, £35,500, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of constructing the Albert Street Parking Building, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-second of one penny (1/22 of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendments, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one million three hundred and thirty thousand pounds (£1,330,000) to be known as the Hunua Development Loan 1963, £1,330,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of completing the Upper Mangatawhiri Dam and the Mangatangi Aqueduct, carrying out further extensions to the Ardmore Filter Station, and investigations and preliminary works for future headworks in the Hunua and Waitakere Reserves and progress upgrading of trunk mains for both reserves, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and two-thirds pence (1⅔d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-five thousand pounds (£35,000) authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of a portion (£10,000) of the Extensions Loan 1954 of £75,000, the outstanding liability in respect of a portion (£20,000) of the Extensions Loan (East Coast) 1953 of £150,000, and
