ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of April 1964, the areas described in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the County of Whakatane and included in the Borough of Kawerau.

  2. The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, all that area in the South Auckland District, Whakatane County, containing 90 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. S. 5882, Block XIII, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, and proceeding generally south-easterly along the generally south-western boundaries of the aforesaid Lot 1, to and up the left bank of the Tarawera River; thence north-westerly and northerly generally, crossing part Allotment 39, Matata Parish, situated in Block XIII, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, along a series of right lines bearing 308° 30′, distance 1560 links, 300°, 155 links, 4° 30′, 428 links, 9°, 106 links, 19°, 185 links, 290° 30′, 90 links, 312°, 220 links, 320°, 108 links, 300°, 110 links, 342°, 190 links, 5°, 470 links, 14°, 430 links, 28°, 162 links, 9°, 440 links, 88° 30′, 115 links, 1°, 555 links, and bearing 89° to the point of commencement.

Secondly, all that area in the South Auckland Land District, Whakatane County, situated in Block XVI, Rotoma Survey District, containing 10 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point 6 chains distant on a bearing of 166° 1′ from peg XXIVA as shown on S.O. Plan 33006; thence southerly along the western side of the road as proposed by the taking of an area of 11 acres 2 roods 22·8 perches as shown on S.O. Plan 33006, aforesaid, to its intersection with the left bank of the Ruruanga Stream; thence westerly and northerly up the said left bank to and along a line bearing 256°, distance 594 links, to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.

  1. On and from the 1st day of April 1964, the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Hawke’s Bay and included in the City of Hastings.

  2. The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, Heretaunga Riding, containing 895 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of Omahu Road (Hastings-Fernhill road) in line with the south-eastern side of Wilson Road and proceeding south-westerly to and along that side of Wilson Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 3699; thence to and north-westerly along that boundary to and south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of that Lot 8, and Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 10033, and Lot 2, D.P. 5165, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 73, D.P. 2366, and the production of the last-named boundary to the middle of Henderson Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6207; thence westerly to and along that boundary to and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7009, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that lot and its production to the middle of Irongate Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 8541; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to the north-western side of Henderson Road, north-easterly along a right line to the intersection of the south-eastern side of that road and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 79, D.P. 2366; thence south-easterly along that boundary, south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that Lot 79 to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 3699, and its production to the middle of Wilson Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 24, D.P. 3699; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of that Lot 24 and Lot 25, and also D.P. 3699, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence south-westerly along a right line to the eastern side of Irongate Road at the angle opposite the easternmost point of Lot 1, D.P. 3453, and the production of that right line to the middle of the road; thence north-westerly along the middle of the said Irongate Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 2800; thence south-westerly along a right line to the intersection of the boundary between Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 2800, with the north-western side of Irongate Road; thence north-westerly along that boundary for a distance of 28½ chains; thence north-easterly along a right line to a point on the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 7785, distant 10½ chains from the most eastern corner of that lot; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2886 to and northerly along the western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 1904, Lot 2, D.P. 7684, and Lot 1, D.P. 6690, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Omahu Road (Hastings-Fernhill road); thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to the point of commencement.

to be members of the Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, to hold office during pleasure in accordance with the provisions of section 7 of the said Act.

PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Waitemata County Council to reclaim from the sea at Whau River, 2 acres 1 rood 32 perches of land, more or less, as shown coloured green on plan marked M.D. 11725 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.
