GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Geraldine County Council, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the straightening of that part of the Jones Gully Road north of its intersection with McBeths Road situated in the County of Geraldine, and for that purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Geraldine County Council, Cox Street, Geraldine, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Geraldine County Council, Cox Street, Geraldine.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situated in Block X of the Opihi Survey District containing one (1) rood thirty-nine and eight-tenths (39·8) perches, being part Rural Section 26581, being the balance of the land in certificate of title, Volume 199, folio 98, Canterbury Registry, being the land coloured blue on Survey Office Plan 10120, being a piece of land adjacent to the Jones Gully Road immediately north of its intersection with McBeths Road in the Geraldine County.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notification of Waipawa Borough District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Waipawa Borough Council, made on the 16th day of August 1962, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Waipawa Borough Council. The scheme has been deposited in the office of the Waipawa Borough Council and in the Waipawa Municipal Library, both situated in Kenilworth Street, Waipawa, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 25th day of June 1964. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Papakura Borough, taken on 23 March 1964, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £84,000, to be known as the Water Supply Improvement Loan 1963, £84,000, for the purpose of constructing a dam, renewing water-supply main, and purchasing catchment area, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ....... 741
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was ....... 208
The number of informal votes was ....... 11
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

A race commencing on the eastern bank of the Maerewhenua River in Section 56, Block VII, Maruwenua District, at peg marked “X” and running thence (generally in an easterly direction) first to peg marked “A”, thence to peg “B”, thence to peg “C”, and running thence in a northerly direction, more or less along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Section 56, to pegs marked successively “D”, “E”, “F”, “G”, and “Y” (at which last point the race will discharge into the river).
Land traversed: Estate of leasehold in all that piece of land situated in Maruwenua District containing 133 acres and 18 poles, more or less, being Sections 56 and 61, Block VII, said district, and being all the land comprised in lease in perpetuity 861s.
