LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Buildings Loan 1964, £57,700
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifty-seven thousand seven hundred pounds (£57,700) authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a new municipal library building and an additional municipal office building, the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and fifty-eight four hundredths of a penny (158/400d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Masterton County Rural Housing Loan No. 2, 1964, of £20,000
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Masterton County Council held on the 10th day of March 1964.
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on the Masterton County Rural Housing Loan No. 2, 1964, of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Masterton County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-nine five hundredths of one penny (39500d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Masterton; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable annually during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Masterton County Council held in the Council Chamber, Chapel Street, Masterton, on the 10th day of March 1964.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Water Supply Loan 1964, £40,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of forty thousand pounds (£40,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a water-pumping station at Seaview, a reservoir at Point Howard, and ancillary works, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and forty thousandths of a penny (0·240d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 23 March 1964.

PICTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewerage Improvement Loan 1962, £25,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Picton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the Picton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving and extending the borough sewerage system, the said Picton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one penny and three farthings (1¼d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property as appearing on the valuation roll of the Borough of Picton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NELSON HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Redemption Loan 1964 of £77,500 authorised to be raised by the Nelson Harbour Board for the purpose of supplementing the appropriate portion of the accumulated sinking fund of seven thousand one hundred pounds (£7,100) and a cash redemption of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) so as to redeem at maturity that part of the Nelson Harbour Board Empowering Act 1948, Loan 1949, and Harbour Works Loan 1957, which mature on 1 June, 1 August, and 1 November 1964, the said Nelson Harbour Board hereby makes the special rate, previously authorised by sections 6 and 7 of the Nelson Harbour Board Empowering Acts of 1956 and 1948, of one-third of a penny (⅓d.) and three farthings (¾d.) in the pound respectively on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Nelson Harbour Board District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 19 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed by way of special order at a special meeting of the Council of the City of Palmerston North, held on the 17th day of February 1964, and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council, held on the 16th day of March 1964.
In exercise of the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, the Palmerston North City Council by way of special order resolves that instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto over the whole of the City of Palmerston North, or over any defined portion or portions thereof, a consolidated special rate, on a uniform basis for the whole district, be made of one penny and eighty-eight thousandths two hundred and seventy-six thousandths of a penny (1·88276d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the City; and the said consolidated special rate is hereby made an annually recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges plus 10 per cent thereof payable in respect of the loans secured by those special rates and the same may be levied in whole or in part, year by year, without further proceeding of the Council.
