Declaring Additional Land Taken for Defence Purposes in Block II, Paritutu Survey District

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for defence purposes.

ALL that piece of land containing 5 acres 1 rood 25 perches situated in Block II, Paritutu Survey District, Taranaki R.D., being part Section 161, Hua District (part Katere Maori Reserve); as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18189 (S.O. 9343) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Declaring Land Taken for a Borstal Institution in Blocks IX and X, Ikitara Survey District, Subject to Certain Rights and Subject Also to Certain Restrictions Contained in an Unregistered Agreement

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a borstal institution, subject to a grant of profit a prendre in respect to timber created by memorandum of transfer No. 576243, Wellington Land Registry, and subject also to certain restrictions contained in an unregistered agreement dated 16 November 1934 and described in the Second Schedule hereto between the Wanganui Development League Incorporated and David Laing Blyth, from and after the 26th day of March 1964.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land situated in the Ikitara Survey District, Wellington R.D., described as follows:

SECOND SCHEDULE

1. The Wanganui Development League Incorporated will forthwith erect at its own sole expense a good and substantial stock-proof fence along the boundary of the land first described in the First Schedule hereto and certain lands of the said David Laing Blyth, being part Run 16 and Lot 3, D.P. 10028.

2. The Wanganui Development League Incorporated shall at all times at its own sole expense maintain the said fence and keep the same in proper stock-proof condition and repair and, in particular, in the event of any part thereof becoming ineffective through sand-drift will renew such part at a suitable level.

3. The said David Laing Blyth shall not be responsible for any damage to trees or grass that may be caused by his stock trespassing on the property of the League or for fire spreading from his land to the land of the League.
