Additional Land at Tawa Taken for the Purposes of the Wellington - New Plymouth Railway (Wellington-Tawa Flat Deviation)

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Wellington-New Plymouth Railway (Wellington-Tawa Flat deviation) from and after the 23rd day of March 1964.

Authorisation of the Exchange of Part of the Alexandra Domain for Other Land

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Pahiatua County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Counties Declared to be Areas in Which Owners of Cattle Shall Submit Their Cattle for Testing With the Tuberculin Test (Notice No. Ag. 7936)

Pursuant to section 7 (6) of the Stock Amendment Act 1958, the Minister of Agriculture hereby declares all those areas of land comprising the counties listed in the Schedule hereto for the time being constituted, and including all cities, boroughs, and town districts surrounded by or contiguous to these counties, to be areas in which, on and from 1 March 1964, each owner of cattle shall, as often as and in such a manner as he may be required so to do by the Director-General of Agriculture, submit his cattle for testing with the tuberculin test for the purposes of the said section.

Registered Medical Practitioner Prohibited From Dealing in or Issuing Prescriptions for Dangerous Drugs

Pursuant to the Dangerous Drugs Regulations 1951, the Minister of Health, being satisfied that Douglas McKelvie Jack, a registered medical practitioner, has committed a breach of the terms of the licence deemed to be held by him under the said regulations, and acting on the recommendation of the Medical Council, hereby revokes the licence deemed to be held by the said Douglas McKelvie Jack under those regulations and hereby prohibits the said Douglas McKelvie Jack from issuing prescriptions for the dispensing of dangerous drugs.

Constituting Certain Secondary Urban Fire Districts

Pursuant to section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby declares the Borough of Waikouaiti, the urban area of Portobello in the County of Peninsula, the urban area of Lincoln in the County of Ellesmere, the urban area of Porangahau in the County of Pata-ngata, the urban area of Ngunguru in the County of Whangarei, the urban area of Nuhaka in the County of Wairoa, the urban area of Pongaroa in the County of Akitio, and the urban area of Ngahere in the County of Grey to be secondary urban fire districts by the names of the Waikouaiti Secondary Urban Fire District, the Portobello Secondary Urban Fire District, the Lincoln Secondary Urban Fire District, the Porangahau Secondary Urban Fire District, the Ngunguru Secondary Urban Fire District, the Nuhaka Secondary Urban Fire District, the Pongaroa Secondary Urban Fire District, and the Ngahere Secondary Urban Fire District, respectively.

Amendments to Rules of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society

Pursuant to section 29 of the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that he has approved certain amendments to the rules of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society. The amended rules shall read as follows:

8 (1) (b) Delegates, one from each of the several branches of the society, as defined in rule 33. (a) hereof, shall be elected by those branches in accordance with the established practice of, or the regulations or bylaws for the time being governing, such branches. Such delegates shall have their principal place of residence within the area administered by the branch. The names of such delegates shall be forwarded to the secretary of the society in writing by the secretary of the branch. In the event of any Council vacancy occurring in the delegates appointed, the branch concerned may, at any general meeting, elect a delegate to fill such vacancy.
