Council

Notice Relating to the Use of Insecticides (Notice No.
Ag. 7929)
PURSUANT to clause 3 (2) of the Stock (Insecticides and
Oestrogens) Regulations 1961, the Minister of Agriculture
hereby gives notice that the chemical specified in the Schedule
hereto is approved for use as an active ingredient in any
insecticide registered under the Stock Remedies Act 1934,
subject to the use of that insecticide in the manner prescribed
by the proprietor for the control or destruction of arthropod
parasites or other insects on sheep.

Pursuant to section 16 of the Apple and Pear Marketing
Act 1948, the Minister of Agriculture hereby declares that the
average price to be paid to growers by the New Zealand
Apple and Pear Marketing Board for apples and pears grown
during the 1963–64 season shall be 14s. 0·40d. per case of
fruit which has been picked, graded, and dispatched to the
depot, with a labour allowance for full wrapping and a
material allowance for cases and local market labels only.

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical Services
in Industrial Concerns
The Minister of Health has made special arrangements,
pursuant to section 82 of the Social Security Act 1938, for
the purpose of providing that adequate medical services shall
be available in premises occupied by industrial concerns for
the benefit of persons employed in those concerns in those
cases where the Director-General of Health has approved
an arrangement (having effect from a date specified by him
in each case) entered into by a medical practitioner or medical
practitioners with the controlling authority of the industrial
concern for the provision of such services.
