ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Raupeka Cemetery Closing Order 1964.

  2. It is hereby directed that the Raupeka Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, shall be closed and burials therein discontinued after the 30th day of September 1964.

  3. It is hereby declared that the Raupeka Cemetery shall vest, on the 1st day of October 1964, in the Marlborough County Council as a closed cemetery for maintenance in good order as a public reserve.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District containing 11 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more or less, being Section 78, Pelorus Valley Registration District, situated in Block XI, Wakamarina Survey District.

Amending Order in Council Licensing Ivan George Bailey to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Beach Road in Akaroa Harbour as a Site for a Slipway

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, hereby amends the Order in Council of 22 November 1955, and published in the Gazette, 1 December 1955, page 1840, licensing Ivan George Bailey to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Beach Road in Akaroa Harbour as a site for a slipway, by—

(a) Omitting the words “Ivan George Bailey”, and substituting the words “the Akaroa County Council”,

(b) Omitting the words “his successors”, and substituting the words “its successors”,

(c) Omitting the words “ten pounds (£10)”, and substituting the words “one shilling payable on demand”.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of April 1964 the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Waitaki and included in the Borough of Oamaru.

  2. The alteration of the boundaries of the said County and the said Borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, County of Waitaki, Kakanui Riding, containing 25 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 12, D.P. 363, and proceeding southerly to the north-eastern corner of Lot 4, D.P. 9387; thence due west and due south along the northern and western boundaries of that lot to the southernmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 9587; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that lot to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 29, D.P. 363; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary to the southernmost corner of that lot; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of that Lot 29, and Lots 30, 31, and 32, D.P. 363, and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned lot to the southernmost corner of Lot 33, D.P. 363; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of that lot to its northernmost corner; thence north-westerly along the generally north-eastern boundary of Lot 18, D.P. 363, and its production to a point distant 112·1 links north-westward of the northernmost corner of that Lot 18; thence north-westerly along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 1392; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of Selwyn Street to the point of commencement.

Appointment

Cadet Pilot Kenneth Ross Forbes Lamb (80043) is granted a permanent commission in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 17 December 1963.

Cancellation of Commission

The commission of Flying Officer Richard Guy Loreto (80717) is cancelled, with effect from 6 March 1964.

Promotion

Pilot Officer Richard William Tasker to be Flying Officer, with effect from 1 December 1963.

PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 18 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1959, I, Josiah Ralph Hanan, Minister of Justice, hereby appoint

Walter Max Willis, Esquire, of Invercargill,

to hear all such appeals as are referred to in that subsection, excluding every appeal to be heard and determined by the Land Valuation Court; and hereby revoke all previous appointments made under that subsection.
